1:200 DA Model
By bigmodels
First real test of a large print time, 36 hours using PLA/PVA support material. I come across alot of balconies and overhangs in my work so hoping the UM3 does all it is supposed to do. So far so good. Only issue is my prime tower keeps falling down. I used a brim which helped for a bit but then failed, thank goodness it didn't affect the final result.

Bunch of prints I made trying sprialized type of ideas and thin walls, hollowed
By kmanstudios
These are prints, but not completed projects. I just got a space cleaned off to start to make the electronics for the lamps. Gotten busy lately, but have been trying to catch up. Most of these are experiments with the new 0.8 Nozzles from Ultimaker and a variety of PLA of varying transparency/translucence.
Printing really varied from 1 to 6 hours depending on geometry and supports used.

InMoov Arm Base
By MrWigdahl
We (My 5th grade students and I) built an InMoov forearm and did not plan to build the rest of the entire robot. We needed a secure way to mount the arm and work with its parts. We designed this base in Tinkercad and added our classroom logo. We also added a place for an Arduino Uno to be mounted for controlling the arm.

Ultimaker3Door
By leliep
To be able to better control the temperature inside the Ultimaker 3 I created this simple front door.
It is based upon a 3mm acrylic glass plate (size 325 x 325 mm2) and two top hooks, a handle and a bottom hook. The parts need to be glued together with a suitable plastic glue.
During printing the door covers the front side of the UM3. If not needed, it can be hung at one of the printer sidewalls.
The basic design should fit the UM2 also, but I'm not sure about the wall thickness, which seems to be different between the UM3 and UM2.

Model of Stark Towers as used in 'Avengers Age of Ultron'
During my spell working in the Art department on 'Avengers Age of Ultron' I was asked by the production designer to build a prop to help dress the interior set of 'Stark Towers' The model was to show the new section of tower that replaced the damaged section from the original film. As I only had 4 weeks to build it (including 3d modelling) we needed to simplify the design a bit, hence the lower portion being in laser cut acrylic.
Using my trusty Ultimakers I think I pulled off the desired effect, even if it only appeared in the movie for less than a second!

PVA Reel casing
because I print continuously I don't unload the PVA. As a consequence I have an issue with moisture so I designed a casing to minimise the moisture exposure. basically I created two pockets for silica gel packets and a tube. it allows the reel to rotate freely. in addition I put it in a bag along with more silica gel.
so far I haven't heard a pop lol
I printed it on my UM 2+ but I think it will go on a UM 3 but not tried it yet.

Sonos Plateau allowing you to put extra stuff on top of it
By yvest
I thought I could save some space on the desk of my daughter with putting the desk lamp on top of the Sonos speaker. You can't put something on it without blocking the buttons so I created this.

Iphone 6 / 6S Holder
By gemgillin
Background
I found this model in Thingiverse and thought I would print it. It was also the first time I had used Gold PLA.
Print
For the print I used an 8mm 'Brim' to help adhere the base to the build plate. Recently with printing I have found the 'Brim' no only stops/reduces warping. But it also allows the printer to get settled for the printing task.
Print Settings:
Layer Height - 0.15 mm
Wall Thickness - 1.0 mm
Top/Bottom Thickness - 1.0 mm
Infill Density - 15 %
Enable Retraction - Yes
Print Speed - 40 mm/s
Travel Speed - 120 mm/s
Enable Print Cooling - Yes
Enable Support - No
Build Plate Adhesion Type - Brim - 8 mm
Print Sequence - All at once
Sanding / Finishing
1. Pliers used to remove Brim
2. Tweezers used to remove Brim inside cable housing
3. 120 Grit Sandpaper (with water) used on the side to remove Brim
4. 220 Grit Sandpaper (with water) used on the side to smooth edge
5. 320 Grit Sandpaper (with water) used on the side to finish edge
Completion
The print came up in high quality which required some sanding to remove the brim and also the material on the underside of the cable holder housing. This print works very well in holding my phone and amplifying sound.
This is not my design I got it from: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1289078
