  1. Wrote a long reply to a thread this weekend only to discover later that the forum trashed my post without throwing any kind of error. And I didn't feel like trying to reply all over again. How about returning to a forum software with a proven track-record? It's not as if there isn't any good alternatives available... Surely by now you must have realized that this forum is a disaster? Nothing you have done in the past year to, as you say improve things, has been an improvment :( Not even faults with clear descriptions of what is not working is reacted upon :angry:

  2. I have made some changes to how it decides whether to optimise or not and your example can now be optimised when outputting infill first and with more than 2 walls. I shall test the changes some more and put a PR together so that it gets into a future release.

  3. It all went very smooth without any trial and error. I literally shared my first print after I unboxed the filament. I started from an ABS profile and then adapted based on recommendations from Formfutura. As indicated on YM, I did put a door in front to maintain good temperature inside but other than that, it just worked. Meanwhile printed my second part same way and is again of equal good quality.

  4. Hi all, I tried to smooth PLA with nail polish remover of my wife. I was surprised of the nice result obtained so easily. Composition of the nail polish remover: - Ethyl acetate - Alcohol - Water - Polysorbate 80 - Cetyl acetate - Oleyl acetate - Searyl acetate - Acetytaled lanolin alcohol I just leave the pieces to smooth a couple of minutes (5-10) in a jar on the heated bed of my printer at 70 deg. Surface becomes smooth and glossy. I hope it will work for you as for me, Best regards, Emi

  5. I suggest starting with the 0.06 profile and working from there. There is not a lot of difference between the two sets of settings. I have done it before, but do not have a saved profile for you to use.

  6. Aldo's fix was incorporated into the 2.7. It's such a simple fix that i feel pretty safe about it. As for "Cura wants the D" 2.0 issue, it seems like a build system issue. Should be fixable for the release (keeping fingers crossed here)

Désolé David je me permet de te contredire :)OK pour la ventilation mais la baisse de la température aura pour effet une augmentation de la viscosité et le fondu sera étiré et non déposé ainsi qu'une diminution du temps d'interdiffusion. Sur les photos il est possible d'observer un net changement après 3 mm d'impression. - Baisse de la température plateau et augmentation de la ventilation. - Baisse de la vitesse d'impression ( 10 mm/s pour le périmètre externe ) - Augmentation de la température ( 210° départ et 245° fin ) De 30 ° / 70 ° pour le test overhang.

  8. Have you reported this before (mentioning that gantry height does not seem to work)? You seem to have uncovered a bug that I at least was unaware of. I will see if it can still be fixed for 2.7, but I am afraid it will have to wait until Cura 2.7.1 (if there will be such a thing) or Cura 2.8. In the mean time, here are a couple of workarounds: * After setting the gantry height to 9999 (or similar), restart Cura, or: * After setting the gantry height to 9999 (or similar), activate any other printer and activate the original printer again.
