  1. Hello! Each month we're hosting a new webinar. In February we will take a closer look at some well-known manufacturers and dissect how they use and benefit from 3D printing. Doing so we'll discover 4 trends that are paving the way toward distributed manufacturing, which we feel, is where we should all be heading. In this 50-minute webinar you will learn: What questions do our Application Engineers ask when helping OEM customers to find 3D printing opportunities Which digital technology is enabling a whole new category of 3D printed tools How we believe 3D

  2. Thanks for your suggestion. I got a hygrometer and left it in the Material Station overnight. Humidity went from 47% to 26%, so the Material Station is working like it should. There must be another reason why my PVA got wet. kind regards, Dennis

You did this! https://github.com/fieldOfView/Cura-SettingVisibilityProfileCreator/commit/0d41f8af7ba97d7a9c1d518a0a6f05226618a187 I did something similar: https://github.com/Ghostkeeper/SettingsGuide/commit/6d0b97cfa16d92438ed35a57b97c84fc92d7ee74 Thanks for helping with the testing, Smithy! I'm working on finishing up the release this weekend. This is crucial since the plug-in got broken in Cura 4.5...

  4. Looks like the print came off the print bed during printing. Whenever this happens, the object's entire structure is lost, and you end up with filament spaghetti most of the time. As Carla points out, there's a lot more to say. For example, do you see the base of the print somewhere? Is it still stuck in the print bed where it should be, or has it come loose by itself? Did you apply some form of adhesive (like glue) on the bed surface before you started printing? Have you used one of the built-in profiles in Cura? Have you modified any settings in Cura? Tell us a bit mo

  5. Not in the quick start manual that comes in various languages and is included as paper copy in the package. But it is explained in the standard manual: https://ultimaker.com/download/75369/ultimaker-s5-material-station-user-manual-en.pdf

  6. Perhaps if you post a link to a working .hvs file, we can have a look if writing to or converting to that format can be easily supported.

  7. Hi dfrez, I'm using a Dell 24 VDC 12.3 Amp ~295 Watt for an UM2. Sure no problem at all. Here's a picture of it together with another 24 VDC PS delivering 360W, kind of the ones used in the new series of printers. Thanks Torgeir

  9. Hello everyone, Very good news! I'm pleased to announce that all reported problems with the Ultimaker S5 have now been fixed! I will edit my first post to let readers know about this. Below I will describe the root cause of the problems, so that it may help someone who may be having similar issues. Continuing on from my previous posts, two days ago I went to the reseller's shop to check things out with the printer (it had been returned to the reseller for testing), and everything was fine. I saw some very beautiful prints that were made with the printer (this is the 2nd

  10. @DrCeeVee I've ran an Ultimaker 3+ for 3 years now, printing usually once a day (1-6hr prints) , and can't remember a single instance of a Software crash (on the machine,) especially mid-print. Cura itself DOES crash, but that's irrelevant to the sent Gcode. There have been no memorable cases where I've needed to power cycle EXCEPT during setup: Sometimes the Prime Blob goes crazy (3x volume) and then gets dragged over to print (haven't seen that too much this year. If I mess with the print cores, or leapfrog prompts, it will give a Print core temp error, and I'll have to

  11. I'm sorry to hear of your problems. What firmware version is installed on your printers? V5.4.27 is the latest. There are reports of blobs in v5.2.11 when the printer is connected by WiFi, the solution was to use cable instead but we fixed a bug in v5.4 that should fix that problem.

  12. I have had my S5 from Aug 2018 and it runs basically almost 24/7 all year without any problems. The odd time I’ll get a filament run out error but that’s due to needing to clean a feeder out or needing to dry the spool of filament out. only real problem I had was when I oil the rods, it made the print head not move right, but that was my mistake as I put to much oil on. Only needs a single drop or 2. I can load it up, had off bed or out and I know I’ll come back to a good print, even if it’s a big 4 day print.
