This is a well known vase printed in Blue Lagoon from Faberdashery (very nice). It's printed with my Ultimaker 2 modified with the Olsson Block and a 1mm nozzle from www.3dSolex.com. Printed in Spiralize mode with a 1mm wall, and 0.5mm layers! It's very fast, around 1h25 to print at full height (200mm). Watch the video! I'll do a complete review soon on this nozzle

This is a suggestion to develop a new type of support that gows from the side of the printed part instead of the print bed. This could reduce material used for support and reduce print time. I have done two tests to compare, the design can be improved and i am sure a slincing algorythm can be added maybe in "Cura" to have Ramification support. I added Pictures and the models of two comparative parts. Let me know what you think and if you can develop the algorythm. This is totally open source suggestion i claim no right for. I only would like it to be named "Ramificaitons". (STL need to be rotated 90 degrees)

After searching the net again and again, I did not found a nice Dom Tower variant to print. So I decided to create my own versions: Single piece version (20 cm tall) Duplo compatible (big colored one, 53 cm tall) Lego compatible (PLA brons fill & Glow in the dark) Christmas edition (PLA silver, optional having 3 electric candles inside) Unfortunately the electric candles are still somewhere in China so I'm still curious how this will look like.. Stl file could be found here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/architecture/dom-tower-utrecht (Single piece version only)

The original dodecahedral kinetic sculpture by Stijn van der Linden a.k.a. Virtox. Made of five nested dodecahedra, each one is limited to rotate around its own axis. It was printed with dual extrusion on an Ultimaker 3 with water-soluble PVA support material.

This is a bin to fit in the door pockets of a MK1 Nissan Qashqai (2007-2013) The bin is primarily designed for the front door, to fit where a drink bottle is intended to go. It will also fit the back door. The Qashqai has nowhere to put sweet papers and other small pieces of litter, hence this bin. I printed this in black PLA on my UMO with a layer thickness of 0.25.

A filament guide which can adapt itself to different diameters and widths of the spool. Improvements to the first version: - The version 2 (the white parts on the pictures) can now catch and release the filament without pulling it back. - Thanks to a snap connection between the holder and the sphere no glue is required anymore.

Only a specific sequence of steps will allow access to its secret compartment. Check out the YouTube video to see it in action. Made up of 36 separate pieces, it all snaps together to complete the finished product. Because of the number of parts and the complicated assembly, I created a few aids to help out. I've included a parts list and a part identification guide, plus created a special YouTube video detailing the assembly process. Printing all of the pieces requires about 150 hours of printing and lots of PVA support material. I suggest watching all or part of the assembly video prior to starting to print to make sure you really want to take this on. In the parts list, I included the brand, type and color of the filaments I used. Of course, you can use anything you want to print it, but I would suggest using the same material types that I used (Nylon, PLA, ABS, TPU) to maintain the same part interactions and flexibility.

Lots of pics... Just a quick attempt at acid plating on a failed model (split) after a break from it. but it failed because the copper I'm using is of a different grade than it should be and it just goes weird. Still learning here, just dug up my airbrush from 15 years ago and it still works!!! silver coated before electro bath and voltage was probably too high too. Im gonna try brush plating next. Due to the complete contamination of both copper and solution, a decent plate is not possible anymore but ill keep going till I get nothing. Gonna do a vid/thread later about this but i need to figure out whats going wrong first!

To improve the CNC Router and not just to drill stuff, I also wanted to cut materials like cardboard, vinyl, paper, etc. Before to buy a lasercut, I did find in Internet a very interesting tool to transform the Spindle into a cutting machine. I wanted to buy the knife tool, but my spindle collet is 8mm, and most of the tools I saw doesn´t fit on it, so I decide to make my own, and after some failed prototypes and test, I made one that until now, after several test it works just great!. The blade can be coupled in two different positions, with a cut depth of 6mm or 10mm. Component list: - 2x bearings with 8mm inner diameter - 1x 8mm x 50mm rod - 2x collar - 9x M3 30mm screws with nuts and washers - 2x M3 16mm screws with nuts and washers - Blades I spend like 30€ on components, but that´s because I bought more than I needed, just to have spare parts, and the 3D printed parts, cost like 2€ with a 2,2kg Colorfabb XT Spoon.

I reprinted my unicron model because I felt like painting it, but seeing as I haven't painted minatures in like 25 years i'm not that good anymore the acetoning was also too much and it cracked after spraying for some reason, but it serves its purpose. will do one with led eyes and a battery next after some remodelling. ive been away too long and feel like i need to start over.....:(

Mount a Raspberry Pi camera+wide angle lens+ LED lights inside your printer. I made this design to solve/address the following: 1. Clean looking mount for RasPi camera and lights inside frame. 2. Increase viewing angle of camera. 3. Light the print bed for camera. I like Octoprint for viewing my prints AND taking time-lapse movies of print jobs. I did not want a camera hanging off outside of the printer, I wanted it to be inside the frame if possible. I also wanted to have light since sometimes the room is dark. I wanted as little hacking to the printer as possible (just a few drill holes in the frame). SO this is what I made. When the camera is inside the frame it needs the help of a wide angle lens to see the whole print bed. I also decided to power the LEDs from the Pi to reduce the power supplies I would need. There are a bunch of photos to show my process. I will try to add better instructions later.
