1. I haven't invested in my own ultimaker yet though I am thinking about it Would anyone be willing to make me some parts for a project I am working on using their machine? I dont have a model ready yet but the main part is a conical spindle with a spiral groove in it, into which a rope will fit, this is going to attach to servo motor to make a variable speed winch. I think it will need to be in ABS. Also any suggestions as to free software able to model the spiral easily? Ideally looking for someone in the UK, I am based in Guildford, Surrey Ian
2. Its going to have a rope wrapped around it, have up to 25kg weight on the rope, and a motor attached on the axis and act as a winch
3. I am looking for someone preferably in UK who can build some mechanical parts for me. I don't have drawings yet until I know I can find somebody who is willing to do this. The first part I need is an approximately conical spindle tapering from 2cm diameter at the thin end, and 15 cm at the thick end, with a deep spiral groove in it which a rope will go into. This needs to be pretty strong. Cosmetic appearance is not important. It needs to be strong, so while not necessarily solid, it will need a supporting structure inside, maybe spokes. This is a personal not a commercial project. I'd obviously be willing to pay for materials consumed, and something for your time. If anybody is interested in working with me on this I'd appreciate an email to ianpanderson@yahoo.com
