When you have a faire in Canada and I'll bring you one.
I am going to search for one!

You could also check the flat cables of your UC, i once saw one of them teared up and it resulted in it not being able to read the SD card. Maybe it is not teared up yet, but maybe it tangled up, or just broken inside?

Hi, Please doublecheck the red+yellow wire that is inserted in the screwterminal on your amplifier circuit board.
If they look fine, please take 'm out and secure them again. Most likely 1 of the wires is not making a proper connection.

WIP... This is a character from a movie I worked on. Once put together, the model will stand about 30cm tall. On this photo, the jacket just came out of the printer, still need cleaning. I'm very happy with the way this is coming along. The shoes, glasses and the head were printed at 0.06mm, you can't tell the difference on this photo but it's really there, big improvement on the smooth parts. I might even reprint the jacket at this resolution. It was printed with Colorfabb's "intense green". It does not look very intense on the photo but it's a lot brighter for real
Did you finish this model? Perhaps i missed it, but i never saw it put together
Looking forward to see the final results

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the time is uuppppppppppp..
I will select a couple of jury-members who can rank the designs and hopefully, within the next couple of days/week
we will be able to introduce the winner!
If anybody feels the need to push one of the designs forward as his/her favorite we will take this into consideration as well
Thanks!

Duhhhhhh
and thanks, looking forward seeing the design. Huge Marvel-fan right here!

You did read it correct, but i will allow Erik to fill (you) in on the details
I am also a true supporter of YouMagine, and along with the contribution and collaboration feature i think it is important and very useful for all participants to be able to make an individual profile where they can list their skills, and show their activity based on like interest, pic of prints, models, other make's beside printing.
This could be convenient in sourcing a team to work on projects and will also showcase the most active users.
It would be wonderful to be able to easily continue on other people's ideas to make it fit on your personal needs.
Sharing and collaborating, nice words!

wow, GUYS!! I haven't checked this topic in a little while and ALL of these amazing prints have been made!!!
Absolutely amazing, great stuff!!!
I have to ask, @Valcrow, is that hammer up for sharing?
@Capn, great looking Owl. I really love the style of the modeler, went to the blogpost as well!
The print quality is superb!
Is that faberdasherry's stone-grey-colored PLA?
Are you going to print more of his stuff?
I love character design!!

Cool designs, i really like the belt!
I also have one final design, i should be uploaded along with this post.
It says: Even the sky is not the limit!
showing an Ultimaker robot with a cute astronaut helmet attached to a rocket that is sticking out
of an Ultimaker.
Unfortunately my free time is limited to such a level that again i didn't find the time to work it out to a proper design, so i have again uploaded the idea. Hopefully you will all like it
If you all do, i will make a proper design out of it.
If you are interested; you can visit my website (www.SandervanGeelen.nl) to see what it will probably look like in the end.
I hope everybody is cool with me uploading another design today.
Initially the contest was until, i believe, yesterday.
Because, besides me, i saw a few other entries being sent today i will expend it to the end of the week.
Monday i will gather my team and have a look at the designs.
It goes without saying that i won't have a say in the outcome.
I will keep you guys posted, and i am looking forward to those last designs!!
As for now i want to thank everybody for taking the effort to come up with an idea / design.
Very much appreciated!

Hi Benny,
I am sorry to hear you already experienced difficulties with your hot end on such short notice.
My advice is when you are experiencing such difficulties or if you can not find a part in the shop to contact the support team. We will be able to help you, and get you back to printing asap.
In regard to the shipment of your order, it will most likely be shipped out today so it should arrive most likely Thursday.
Have a nice day,

looks fine to me too! Best way to know is to start a print

Nice design Peter!

Hi Johnny,
Thank you for your post, and your update about the workaround.
On another occasion this sometimes happens when you enter the number of your house prior to the street.
Luckily, it is rare but sometimes it happens.
I am glad you managed to complete the purchase, thank you and welcome to the community!

Hi Yuriy,
I see you also sent an email but i didn't get around to sent a reply yet, so i will reply now
Hope that is ok as well.
It is no problem to order a Kit when you are not from the EU. But it is not possible to pick it up, I'm sorry.
If you want to talk about details or alternatives please sent me a PM.
Thanks and have a nice day!

haha yeah, well.. i didn't start using colours untill the last couple of drawings. But they can be used for every design ofcourse.
Looking forward to see your input Ian .. And everyone else !! ^^

Ok, seems like some are a little bit too small to actually see what is on them so i made some close ups.
1 of them has some lines on it, it says:
' This time U can be the Maker!
(on the back > ) ' And it doesn't even take 7 days to make something'.

Like promised here are the doodles i made for the Tshirt competition.
I can't stretch the word 'doodles' enough
Looking forward what everybody has to say about them, if 1 or 2 seem to get some interest i will put
some more efforts in them and make an actual design.
Enjoy!

Did you expect the assembly to go faster, or your print?
If you are confident about your calibration, you can always just crank up the speed ^^

Sorry, i mean the circuit board, electronic board > http://wiki.ultimaker.com/File:El1.5.4-PCB.jpg

Hi.
I am sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties, but they all sound fixable! So that is a good thing
1: Sounds like your nozzle is too far of the bed. It may look good, but based on what happens i guess it isn't.
Maybe this picture gives you an idea of what the first layer should look like:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ultimaker/8231668201/
It should be (slightly) pressed in the tape. So i would recommend to move your build platform up a little bit.
2: I am looking forward to see a picture addressing this problem. If your print is slanted, get a screwdriver and run by all 12 pulleys and make them super-tight!
3: Is your Y rod able to rotate freely? Or is it rubbing against the end cap?
If you think your motor is the problem, try to switch the X and Y motor at your pcb.
If you home after you have done it, it will move the the back right corner instead of front left, but you will able to hear if the noise is different/gone. You can also go to Prepare > Move Axis > 1mm > Y axis with your UltiController to move it around.
It will hopefully give you insight in where the noise is coming from, i.e. mechanic/electronic.

Ok, now you are making me double check my ideas because i feel the pressure rising!!! 0.0

I am surprised nobody mentioned this video yet:
It is reaaaally helpful for making soft PLA prints.

At what temperature do you set your heated bed?
Coral heads growing next to verical surfaces

I would also lower the temperature to get rid of this coral, maybe up the speed a little bit.
I usually have this when i print the hollow pyramid, which i use to find the sweet spot for filaments.
Like a calibration model.
I start of with lets say 210°C at 45mm/s, and see some of this coral rising. Then i wipe it off with a screwdriver or something, tweak the temperature and speed and see if it stays gone for a couple of cm. Often i end up with a unrememberable combination of 117% (based on 45mm/s) at 212°C or something. So i write it on a piece of tape and put it on the reel of filament.
Usually i only do this for long prints or when high quality is required.
