No! Good !
I wasn't fully pressed in (re-watched the video)
Also, when I feed in the PLA, its a struggle to get past that coupler!
Now I thought I would tighten belts while I had the tools handy My test print is all shifting to the left side. Checking the X pulley now
-
Still nothing extrudes....but this time, I put a zip tie around the feeder and turned it manually a few times...and got a nice blob
Trying a print now @220 with the suggestions GR5 made
-
Locked?
I just added washers to the bottoms
Heating the head now to level...again.
-
Back to this part....
Here's the extruder picture you asked for
-
I have tightened the extruder to the 11mm distance.
I have removed the silver PLA and put in the nice blue stuff I bought with the kit.
When I pre-heat the PLA, it flows
When I try to do a sample part (robot) to check things out, I can see the distance to bed is a bit too high...but no material is flowing.
So it looks like I am stuck back at the basics, bed leveling and now getting the PLA to flow properly on even the basic robot test print.

I'm still having problems and am starting to get very frustrated.
I've had this together for a few weeks, made two or three cute prints...but that's it. The parts I try to make for things like the light holder fail. I've spent more time debugging and troubleshooting than enjoying.

Interesting thread, I am still refining my bed leveling on my Ultimaker. I noticed one of the springs slid between the nuts at an angle, so its not allowing me to level with the other ones correctly.
I'm noticing close to no extrusion at lower temps (under 200) but at higher, I flow fine. I'll have to check a few things you pointed out.

That was a quick reply Very cool

This was a printer a friend of mine was leaning heavily into buying until he saw this review.
He went with the Solidoodle 3 and has had great luck with it

Even though I'm quite happy with my UM, I would still suggest that the UM team hints new releases a lot earlier. Hinting a release like 1 week before it becomes available is a bad idea, especially since a lot of new owners will become frustrated. You can still hint a release a lot earlier without releasing the details about it.
Exactly. In my case, I bought mine Aug 26 and specifically asked if something new was in the works. I work in the IT field and know how things go, as you mentioned. I was pretty frustrated this week seeing an obviously well developed product being released today.

Thanks for those tips
At the lower temps (190) I see no flow...warm it up, I do.
I had a zip tie on the extruder clamp/spring to make it tighter and removed it to see if it was needed...not sure it is but i will put it back on. It seemed to be helping
Got home really late tonight so tomorrow I'll remove the acrylic plate and unscrew those mount screws, This time washers on the bottom and top

I just made a post about this: http://blog.ultimaker.com/2013/09/20/live-stream-official-release-ultimaker-2/
It also has the link where you can follow the release.
@Paul, if you want please email me and we can see about any possibilities. Or at the very least we can consider options.
Overall, I am sorry if my response time is slower the next couple of days.
I am personally at the release and Maker Faire New York. But i will try to reply to everything asap.
If anybody has any further questions, looking forward to helping you!
Sent in such an email (Ticket ID: XEA-828-89700)
I'm surprised by the pricing. I was expecting to be under $1000 USD to counter the Solidoodle 3 and similar types.

Hmm
I was wondering why the right side always seemed too high on the Z despite my gentle twisting...
Tomorrow, after a good night's rest, I'll add washer to all of those areas where the spring touches on the bottom!
-
Well here's one part at 225
-
Well these look awful
Trying one arm at 225, let's see how that comes out
-
Well let's see how the set prints. My first "big" print
-
Nice...!
Well I have the set on the platform in Cura...but I want more clips to put on the front...but it won't fit on this print.
Here we go!
-
Thanks for the screen shot.
So...how slow? 40? 30? I'm downloading the files
210 seems good
-
Should I go hotter but the same speed?
I see you did an impressive print recently.
-
More (making 6)
-
.2 mm layer height
Default (quick) settings
Speed 50
Printing temp 210
Note the strands in the hole opening?

Flux capacitor for time travel
Good list!

Well, I'll have to either keep monitoring the forum or send Sander an email. I'd like to know what my options are to upgrade, since I bought mine 24 days ago. I asked a lot of questions about having the latest version, anything up and coming...and it was indicated the Ultimaker was the latest and greatest. Clearly an Ultimaker 2 was in the works and had they hinted a new version was going to come out if I waited 30 days, I would've. Sigh.

Thanks for that.....they have a glow in the dark that looks interesting too!

Pulleys and motors checked
Test printing the robot now.
Maybe this is from the extruder not being locked in all the way...but now...I have a very noisy printer...lots of creaks and so on...
(Blue PLA on Blue tape...hard to see....but listen...)
