Cura 14.01 failed to write firmware 'Timeout' - solved
dinac replied to hjbinnema's topic in UltiMaker Cura
I am having this problem too. Yesterday i downloaded new CURA and run "first run wizzard " from CURA and flash MARLIN firmware. After that I cant connect to printer, neither flash again firmware. It stays at "Please connect the printer to your computer....." and nothing happens. I tried to compile and flash with ARDUINO, again no answer from Ultimaker.... Tried all USB ports, and nothing happens. But I see after that, when I power ON Ultimaker, all three motor are locked(i cant move extruder and hotend.) Please can someone help me? Is there any hard reset on UM or something like that ? Thanks ! -

Running HOT BED with SSRelay - fail
dinac replied to dinac's topic in Third party products & modifications
I know for heatsink, but it is designed for 25 A, i tought that this 8-9 A will be nothing fot it. It is connected now with mechanical relay.... But i have another Q - in Marlin, is there any code that for controling when it start heating and stop heating . If set let say temp= 100 oC why not heat to 102, then turn off relay- till it reach 98 oC and then again turn on relay. Insted of - when reach 100,xy it shout down relay, and on 99,9 it turn on again ... many clicks for controlling temp it is not neccesery to be exact 100oC... -
in everybody configuration.h stays this code : #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {78.7402,78.7402,200*8/3,760*1.1} // default steps per unit for ultimaker This last Number 760*1.1 gives 836 steps per E I think that beside this code it should be comment that is missing everybody: 760*1.1 is for new bolt - think it is v3 version ......but many of us that have v2 bolt and made hot bed this is not working good- it shold be 865 I think that this must be commented in code, because many that must compile new FW for HOTBED will run in problem of extruding to small amount of filament.....

Running HOT BED with SSRelay - fail
dinac replied to dinac's topic in Third party products & modifications
OK, I wired again all like you said above bolded : and it is working again it is heating bed, but with only 9,6 V and it draws 7,2A Output from Power supply is 12,50V -relay is eating 3Volts Dont know what is going on I will try to heat to 100 oC, maybe SSR will blow up forever EDIT: working LED on relay stoped working, but relay is still operational, but it is heating like hell  -
Running HOT BED with SSRelay - fail
dinac replied to dinac's topic in Third party products & modifications
it was connected like this : HBed was warmed up to 80 oC for cca 8 mins, then i realised that something is smelling After that i turn off all, checked all, and tried again, but BED is getting only 3 V@ 2 amps so SSR is obviously not working any more LOL -
Ok, i ended all, my Solid state relay came, connected, but after 5 mins relay is so damn hot that it started to melt lol my IR temerature thermometer said over 150 degreed Celsius on relay  where is the catch ? SSR is SSR25DD , 25 Amps Heated bed drawn only 8 Amps
