Ultimaker was not connected to a USB cable to the computer when the problem occurred.but when I connect my Ultimaker to USB cable to the computer ,Ultimaker fan starts up and the blue light at the extruder comes on even if the Ultimaker does not have a power cord attached

Hello I am a novice Ultimaker user and I have used the Ultimaker only a short time.I have printed the 3D objects without a computer, I have been using the Ulticontroller Control panel .When I put the 3d printer turned it on or off i heard the "dum DUM" sound and the light went on at the top of the extruder, but then it immediately went out after a second or two.after the thumping sound the steppers and the motors stopped working and the printer will turn off . Even turning them back up while the power was on didn't work,then and waited for a couple of minutes. After I turned it on they all started working. this problem is not always just random.Whether this failure to break the Ultimaker?, please help
