I am currently adding a heated bed to the Ultimaker (using the instructions from http://flashgamer.com/arduino/comments/adding-a-heated-build-platform-to-your-ultimaker.
I want to use the Marlin Builder (http://daid.eu/~daid/marlin_build/) for modifying the firmware, but i don't want to venture to far from the original presets that came with the Ultimaker.
But i was unable to find something like a "Ultimaker Default Profile" :-/
The bubble help on the Marlin Builder is ok, but there are several points where i am unsure, e.g:
-> Enable PID temperature control -> Kp: 22.2 Ki: 1.08 Kd: 114
But in the bubble help it says: 22.2/1.25/99 are good for the Ultimaker
? What machine are 22.2/1.08/114 good for then? Why is that pre-filled with these values?
-> Max feed rate X:250 Y: 250 Z: 5 E: 45
http://wiki.ultimaker.com/Marlin_firmware_for_the_Ultimaker says:
default: {X160, Y160, Z10, E500000}
500,000 vs 45!?
-> Enable UltiController (Enables the offical UltiController hardware. This will also enable SD card support)
But it doesn't preselect "Enable SD card support" below. Will there be an error if both boxes are checked?
And "Enable UltiPanel" - is different from UltiController?
I understand that the Marlin Builder is a very flexible tool which supports many different kinds of hardware and modifications. But it would be nice to have some kind of "Ultimaker Baseline" which is documented and official.
Because with every difference between platforms, troubleshooting becomes more (and unnecessary) complex.
So, anyone got a 1.5.6 electronics current Ultimaker Marlin Builder dataset for me? :-)
