  4. Nice print Ian! Hopefully this one won't get stolen Some models on thingiverse just really deserve to be printed. This is one of them, Mr. Bean, design by: http://goo.gl/vvK0U I chopped of the bottem part so I could print the head a bit larger. Sliced with kisslicer, 0,16mm layerheight, 20% infill and medium support. Lots of detail in this print, awesome!
  5. Yes! Very true! Do you have images of these statues? I'd like to see them Nice prints Peggy! The bracelet is absolutely beautiful in the Pale Gold, this is probably my favorite color. It sort of hides th Great tip... I'm going to try this too! e layer resolution very well.
  6. Nice model! I'm very interested in the models that you'll be preparing for printing, will these be available on thingiverse? Very nice print. Amazing print! I like how the color matches the Hellboy character, very cool! My latest prints were made during the FabCon 3.D. Printed the vase with a drilled out 1mm nozzle, print time is about 2,5 hours. I used 2 perimeter lines, so they are very strong, and hopefully watertight.
  7. We, Gijs and Sander, are in Erfurt too! We got lots of samples for anyone who is interested. How about a beer tomorrow night? Heard something about a after print party... Hmm
  8. nice print Ian! I upload the pictures on a flickr account and then use the link to the image.
  9. Crown for our king! Get the files at: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:80709 Sliced with kisslicer, medium support, sheath support on (was a bad idea, took hours to chisel away the support), 0,2mm layerheight, 20% infill, 3 loops. About 36 hours printing, the crown is almost as big as the ultimaker build platform.
  10. Wow! I'm really impressed! I really like multi part prints but they take forever
  11. Amazing model by Sculptor: http://www.thingiverse.com/Sculptor/designs Sliced with kisslicer, at 0.1mm layerheight. Printed with signal yellow.
  12. 100 hour print! What are you planning on making? Massive print at really high resolution? We have 2,2 kg spools, would this be sufficient? If you can contact us at http://colorfabb.com/contacts/ and mention the colors you would like we can make an custom offer. Gijs

  14. haha thanks guys! Took a long while to print all the parts but well worth it. Last one for today! This time a thing I designed myself in Rhinoceros. I want to see lots of (Dutch) flags on thingiverse! http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:72753
  15. Latest print project from our printlab. The Lancia Stratos by makerbot, printed on an Ultimaker The body is sliced with Cura at 0,16mm layerheight, total print time of 36 hours. Printed in skyblue PLA/PHA.
  16. Weekend! But the Ultimaker just keeps on printing
  17. Hi Lumeria, Great to hear that you're happy with the quality of the filament. We think it prints a bit smoother as well and it also feels a bit smoother. If you have any pictures, please do share We are curious what is being made with the filament. Gijs
  18. oh wait... now I see! Cura steam engine beta Could this be the new slicing engine/software you've been working on?
  19. Hmm... I'm intrigued by the locomotive in the bottem right corner. Hmm...
  20. I hate to waste filament so whenever I get the chance I try to save some of the filament which is left over when we switch colors on our extruder. The nice thing about this 'inbetween colors' filament is the amazing gradual color change. Printed with cura, 1.6mm wall, 50mms, 0,2mm layerheight. 11,5 hours printing. Designer: http://www.thingiver...Limburg/designs Model: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:37327
  21. Nice model Vsions! Worthy of a big print! Sliced with Kisslicer, 0,16mm layerheight, 0% infill, 4loops, Print time: 10 hours weight: 130g total height: 18 cm printed with PLA/PHA Olympic Gold Designer: http://www.thingiver.../Vsions/designs Model: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:68070 Printing into the air, or actulally just on two little strings of PLA/PHA that saved this print
  22. Klein Bottles by Dizingof - http://goo.gl/9JBe8 Sliced with Kisslicer - 0.2mm layerheight - 0% infill - 3 loops. Printed with PLA/PHA filament Warm Red Happy easter holidays!
  23. Hi Ian, I used standard retraction settings on this model. Printed with 1.2mm wall thickness, 0,2mm layer height, 0% infill and at 20mm/s. One other trick to help print this model a bit easier is by scaling it up to fit the entire print bed. I think this might work better because this means more filament is actually printed opposed to a lot of retraction and very little printing. We also printed some original sized bracelets that came out beautifully. On these we used double the retraction speed, so 80mm/s. sliced with cura at 30mm/s, at various layer height. Will post an image after the holidays. Gijs
  24. Yesterday I started this print, http://goo.gl/xy58J , sliced with the new cura 13.03. The cut off bottem feature is absolutely superb, great work Daid! Saved me a lot of time having to edit .STL in Rhinoceros. The bracelet is scaled to fit the ultimaker printbed, it is HUGE!
  25. Hi CodeMaven, I haven't printed with ABS or Taulman 618 before so its hard to say anything constructive about it. The adhesion to the blue tape is similar to PLA it, might even be a little better because of the PHA. Shrinkage of the PLA/PHA compound is as you would expect with normal PLA. With a hotplate I can get perfectly flat prints. Cheers, Gijs
