  1. .. but adding another printer with the same def files works!
  2. Cleared cash, tried with machine_extruder_count set to 3 and without the machine_extruder_count entry on 2.6.0 and 2.6.2, still no success. I'm on OSX, you're on Windows Tinkergnome?
  3. Same here. Tried to add a 3rd extruder to the Mark2 profile. Double checked all the position, default_value, maximum_value settings in the 3 corresponding extruder json files. Even removed everything in the Mark printer definition json to make it look like the custom json. No success.
  4. kurzes Video wäre evtl. nicht schlecht. Ansonsten mal während des Drucks per Menu am Drucker den z-offset nachjustieren. Änderungen werden beim nächsten Extruderwechsel berücksichtigt. Also mit Ext1 sauber starten (evtl. 3 Schrauben der Druckplatte nachjustieren) und dann z-offset erhöhen wenn Ext2 schleift bzw. verringern wenn Ext2 zu hoch.
  5. In Cura you can control virtually all these temperature settings. Goto Preferences - Settings and activate "Initial Printing Temperature"
  7. I printed two spools of the very first Linen and liked it very much (surface feel, overhang quality ...). A few months later there were two variants like "standard" and "eco" for quite a while which I found confusing but now it looks like they sell the original one again.
  8. With the expansion board installed you need firmware with the "expansion-board" suffix. Never used Cura to monitor the printer so far, so the temp reading might be an issue.
  9. During calibration I think no. Usually during the first few layers fans are completely turned off. Thereafter the 2nd fan should run when the respective head is printing.
  10. Whoops, this seems to be the first assemling error we ever had with the Mark2 board. Can you remove the shortcut on you own?
  11. Hmm, what happens if you connect both temp sensors directly to the main board (unpluging the temp connection to the Mark2 board)?
  13. @rajilpahuja, We just need to mirror the head and dock parts and add a second tab to the coupling. So this is already 95% done. Currently we're trying to figure out if and how we could add the 3rd extrusion train without replacing the electronics (which only has drivers and I/O for two - or since recently even just one - extruder).
  14. Just returned after two weeks holidays (offline). I did put a CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 on github. But also learned that it doesn't really protect hardware designs/concepts. In fact there's no suitable way to do this besides patents.
  15. BTW I'm on holidays for the next two weeks. But there are already so many other well-versed people here who will be happy to help.
  16. @harmenschippers, with Cura and standard PLA there should be zero oozing if temperature is set properly. The basic sequence is a follows: printing with ext1 at standard temp - lowering temp for the last seconds of a layer / at the same time heating up the idling extruder to a (lower) start printing temp - retracting ext 1 - extruder change - priming ext 2 - start printing and heating up to standard temp / at the same time lowering temp of ext1 to standby temp and vice versa. The amount of toolchange retract and priming can be controlled on-the-fly via the menu.
  17. Sorry for the PSU issue. Tinkergnome, who has the most insight, is still on holidays I believe and checks the forum only occasionally. I suffered from the same kind of mysterious shutdown. Still don't know why. The whole power management relies on assumptions, like the four values but also for the power the steppers will draw.
  18. In the Mark2 definition json file, "machine_start_gcode" there were two G0/1 commands with Y20. I changed them to Y25 and updated the git repository.
  19. @harmenschippers, @chiz this happens only during the first priming of ext1?
  20. Most likely the head pivots around an axis, defined by the top left and the bottom magnet. This is the same movement as in the undocking process. The amount of possible movement is mostly defined by the gap shown in the picture. The bigger the gap the more easy the top right magnet can be pushed away.
  21. @chiz, Can you make a picture or video, showing the rear right corner issue?
  22. Ok, guys, here we go. First of all a big thank you to everone who participated and showed his ideas! Every entry presented some individual aspects, which the Mark2 co-developers and beta-testers especially liked. And - all of them showed useful, real-world applications, from a huge hobby project to hard core science. That's what pleases me most! With Mark2 you can do much more then printing nice but pretty useless, colored stuff. However there can only be one winner, which we hereby proudly announce: The go-kart air intake project It combines one of the core assets of 3D printing, quickly transforming design iterations into real parts, with tough operational environment. I think many guys here are really curious to see how the dual printed parts will perform, attached to a go-kart engine. So please keep us posted. Congratulations @pixl2 ! Please pm me your address details and I will send out the Ultimaker Extrusion Upgrade Kit immediately. Again, thanks a lot for all the interesting ideas! Really looking forward to see some of them realized with the Mark2 upgrade in the near future.
  23. Could you specify the play (where, does something bend, ...)? So far I noticed one possible reason for play after 1000+ hrs printing. Around the magnets there are rectangular shaped sinkings. It's crucial that their edges are perfectly shaped and not worn out. The corresponding magnets should sit tight.
  24. Increase the 35 to 40W. Otherwise the firmware "thinks" the heaters will use 35W max when they might use more in reality. Even the bed could possibly draw 135 W. In general, settings will be "safer" with decreasing the first and increasing the other values.
