  1. Ok thanks, will take a look at that. Other thing I note which is annoying, I don't seem to be getting any retract on skirt or first layer moves which means I get over extruded mess on moves leaving a poor finish. Is this something that can be fixed?
  2. Just having no end of troubles with cura recently. First thing I have noticed in the current version and the one before is I the extruder heater is being turned off during the print, causing all sorts of troubles. I also get issue trying to slice the following file, it seems to reverse 2 of the 4 objects in the plate this is for http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:161297/ try the tray of 6 stl file.
  3. Permissions looked OK, so uninstalled app, removed .cura folder then reinstalled and all works now thanks.
  4. Hello, I have searched but can't find anything, since installing 13.11 on OSX every time I start cura I have to complete the first run wizard, the app also does not remember my last used settings, I have tried a reinstall with no luck. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
  5. v13.05.2 mac Hi Daid, Is retraction fully working in 13.05.2 my printer seems weirdly quiet with so little reverse actions on the extruder drive? I made a print last night and found that there was no retraction on long moves, but it seemed that more short moves seemed to have retraction. For example when printing the first layer and perimeters when the head needed to reposition to somewhere in the print it did no retractions at all resulting in the first layer finish scarring where the print head moved with no retraction. Again, would it be possible to implement the force retraction over a set threshold like some of the previous versions? I also notice that on certain very thin fill areas (but not all) I am still seeing lots of small zig zag fill with a retraction each pass, I thought this was now supposed to be one fill line? Just something about retraction doesn't seem to work as well as it used to, aside from that I think other areas of print quality are much better!! Thanks
  6. 13.05.01 Order of infill looks much better now! thanks. Just want to ask again will you be adding any more control to the retraction settings in previous versions being able to force retraction on a move over a certain distance was a helpful parameter to get good prints on my printer. Thanks, Mark
  7. Hello, I started testing 13.05 last night, a couple of things I noticed... There is no longer an option to set force a retraction on movements over a certain distance, will this be implemented again? When solid filling the fill seems to be erratic, for example if I print a basic cube with no other detail it will diagonal fill from one corner to the other however if I have detail in the flat surface it seems to jump about as it fills in one line of fill here then moves to a total different part of the face and does another line of fill, in previous versions it seemed to fill around perimeters in more sensible larger chunks before moving resulting in a possible better finish. When partial filling sometimes it seems to fill like every second line and then pass over again filling between so each fill section has more than 1 pass of the extruder. The layer view does not seem to show the tool path on solid fill as clearly as in previous versions.
  8. I would like to beta test please. Will this beta version fix fill in narrow area's of the print because that is what I would like to test.
