  1. Selling my old Ultimaker S5. I have owned quite a few Ultimaker printers but this is by far the most reliable one. I barely print anymore and when I do, I don't need the huge print space. Included are 6 print cores. I am adding some spools of PLA, Ultimaker Breakaway filament and a huge spool of Colorfabb carbon fiber filament. I am aiming at 40% of the new price (EUR). Preferably selling in Germany but would also ship somewhere else (adding higher shipment costs).
  2. Hi, I have a new...ish print core that's about 1 year old that I haven't used much. Lately my UMS5 started to act up with the dreaded ER34 error (print head communication error). I followed the tutorial and disconnected the printhead cable and connected it again. This helped. However, ever since my print core in question (AA 0.4) won't heat up any more. Is there a way to troubleshoot this further? I have switched to another print core and it heats up fine so the print head is not at fault. I have switched the "broken" print core to the slot 2. and it does not heat up - so it is definitely the print core itself. What's weird - when I manually want to heat up the print core, I can only go up to +4 C°. Pressing on the + button on the printer display does nothing. Also when I start a print, the temperature remains at 31 C° and the feeder tries push filament through the cold print core. I wonder why the firmware does not intercept the low print core temperature and stops the print. That's not the whole story though. After reconnecting the print head cable I updated the firmware to the latest stable 6.5.x. I am not sure if the problems that follow were introduced by the new firmware but I noticed that every new print failed during active leveling with the message: "Difference between detected height of both print cores exceeds realistic values". So I went on and disabled active leveling. I know that's not supported but I followed this post. That's when I found out that the one print core won't heat up. After that I enabled active leveling again. Right now I am using an older print core and it works fine. No print head connection errors, no active leveling errors.
  7. Hi, I have an Ultimaker S5 with the latest firmware (5.2). I am using Cura 4.2.1 and added the printer to the Ultimaker Cloud. Now on another Cura 4.2.1 installation I am signed in with the same Ultimaker account and upon selecting my networked printer it shows up as an Ultimaker 3. Is there a way to change the type or is there another way to fix it? Thanks.
  11. Hi, you should post bugs here: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues

  13. Hi Everton, on what do you want to restore the default settings? Cura, the Ultimaker printer itself? If it is Cura, which step by step tutorial did you follow. Which operating system do you use? Windows, Linux, Mac?
  16. Hi @neo69 When does this problem occur? Right when you start printing or when you turn on the printer? I am not sure about the error message but which printer are you using? Is this an original Ultimaker 3?
  18. You can find plugins in the "Marketplace" menu in Cura. If you are looking for post processing scripts instead, check the "Extensions" -> "Postprocessing" menu.
  19. Since you mentioned Ultimaker & PVA I assume it is a Ultimaker 3? As far as I remember the combination of ABS and PVA is not supported but this shouldn't matter for the print quality here. In Cura you can export your print settings as a project (including the model). Select "File" and then "Export" and share the .3mf file.
  20. Hi and welcome to the forum. Which printer do you use and which program do you use to slice models? If you use Cura, which print settings did you set? Please as much information as you can.
  21. I don't know what is wrong here. Maybe Sketchup does not export the .stl file properly. Please try one of the stl repair services and see if Cura slices correctly. https://tools3d.azurewebsites.net/ https://service.netfabb.com/login.php
  22. I assume that the exported model has some errors. You could check it with a tool such as Netfabb or other similar online services. Btw. for such a large model, you don't need to print with "Brim" since the bed adhesion will be pretty good (if you print with PLA or similar materials).
