Cura 14.07 runs perfectly on my computer, Cura 3.04, 2.7 will not
Nicolinux replied to hippieninja's topic in UltiMaker Cura
Hi, welcome to the forums. What happens whey ou want to start Cura? Any error messages? If there are none, please take a look in event viewer. Should be in Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer. And there should be a cura.log file created by Cura 3.x too. -
Olsson Ruby Nozzle - problems with extrusion
Nicolinux replied to Nicolinux's topic in UltiMaker 3D printers
They didn't get back to me and didn't react to my mails. I even got two replacement nozzles but since nobody responds, I'll keep them... -
Problem UM2+ mit Pro1 Filament --> Gitterstrucktur
Nicolinux replied to VeryBigAlex's topic in Deutsch

Hi, looking at the pictures you provided, the issue does not exhibit on all holes. The yellow print seems to have perfectly printed holes at the back of the model. Maybe it is not a retraction problem (have you tried to prime more material at the start of a print and reduce retraction even further for the rest of the print?), but rather a temperature problem. Maybe the temperature is not stable and when the head is printing the outer walls of the holes and so the filament has a hard(er) time extruding.

MPSM PEI Sheet upgrade

Hi, I don't understand your problem. What does the printer automatically do and fails? Or how does it exhibit? Does the nozzle hit the build plate when homing? -
SOLVED Fan bracket opens when printing

Ahm... who is your re-seller? iGo3D? Didn't they offer any assistance with swapping the magnets? Did you point them to this thread? -
Problems with warping by shrinkin holes
Nicolinux replied to kaidro's topic in Improve your 3D prints
@kaidro: I know you have stated that the build plate is level, but maybe the glass plate is bent. Take it out, put it on a flat surface and press down in all four corners each to see if it wobbles. Otherwise if I need great adhesion for difficult parts I use 3DLac. -
For limited control (no x/y axis though) you can use the UM3 app(s). It allows you to load custom .gcode files and start a print remotely. @drbrcho: Loose pulleys and screws is definitely not something you can expect from an UM. I would contact your re-seller and ask for help. This shouldn't have slipped through QA...

Hi, this could be infill (the yellow dots). Maybe the thickness of your cylinders isn't an exact multiple of your nozzle size/width. You should set infill to 0 and increase wall/shell count.

Minimal extrusion before retraction option removed?
Nicolinux replied to tikiboh's topic in UltiMaker Cura
I think this would be the closest setting for what "minimal extrusion before retraction" - I didn't test it though. -

Problem UM2+ mit Pro1 Filament --> Gitterstrucktur
Nicolinux replied to VeryBigAlex's topic in Deutsch

Done. At first I was sceptical but since his profile description clearly advertises services, I decided to ban him.

No, that's why I have reported it now: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/2762
-
Yes, you can. But it is not intuitive to do so at first. You need to add both models to the build plate, then enable support globally and then using the "per object settings", search for the "generate support" setting and assign it to the model which should be printed without support. Then (and that's the important part), you need to check the box "generate support" for the model where you don't want support, let Cura slice once and then uncheck the box again. I'd say this is a user interface bug. Cura should pick up the state of the check box automatically but due to the way it works - all new "per object settings" are added in a non-selected state and this presumably breaks the setting detection.

The first step asks you to rotate the wheel on the Ultimaker until the bed is 1mm away from the nozzle. Did you by chance skip that step?
-
Yes I think so.
