  1. Hi everyone, I have problems identifying my exact problem, I can only assume that is is related to Cura, hence the choice of topic. To start at the beginning. I got my hands on a really unknown printer(Hadron FM Pro). It runs with a printrboard rev. e and for convenience I added a panelolu2 to have a display and the possibilities of a Ultimaker1. To my knowledge I flashed Marlin with extension for the panelolu correctly to the board. Next I tried to add a new maschine to Cura and I tried it with "Other", then "Ord" since the "Ordbot" seems to be close to what I have. But starting the the gcode on my printer just produces strange lines that don't correspond with the original part. So my best guess is that I screwed up the setup in Cura. Is there anyone that can help or has an idea where I can search for solutions? Thanks alot
  2. hi again, the path is exactly as you wrote: C:\Program Files (x86)\Cura_14.12.1\plugins About the txt in the output_log.txt: Listening for engine communications on 49674 Closing down Since you wrote about 100 lines, I wonder if there is the problem. thanks already
  3. thanks, but nothing happened. I copied the text from your link and replaced with it everything that is in the swapAtZ.py file I had before. After that I started Cura and still nothing.
  4. i did, multiple times. I already added other Plugins to my cura, which is why i wonder if there is something I missed, specifically with this plugin. by the way, I am using Cura 14.12.1 on both Ultimaker 1 and 2. Maybe that helps?
  5. hi, this plugin is exactly what I was searching for. But my Cura just won't show it. I downloaded the latest version and added it to the correct folder. Did i miss something? thanks
Soweit also voller Erfolg
  13. Hi everybody, I encountered a very strange error. The story is the following: after having trouble with flow options on my ultimaker I wanted to reinstall the marlin firmware. I got cura on my notebook(ubuntu 12.04) because the printer is normally controlled via ulticontroller and not directly connected to the pc i first worked with. So i plugged the ultimaker in, fired up cura and tried to run the firstrun wizard. I worked through the wizard and pressed "Upgrade to marlin firmware". At that point cura simply vanished, as if closed. Being curious i started cura via console and did exactly the same and exactly the same happened. All the console read was: taires@taires-UL30A:~$ cura python: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0. taires@taires-UL30A:~$ And I have no clue what this means. Help would be appreciated, Thanks Taires
  14. Hello everyone, after seeing work from the Ultimaker for some time I started working with it myself. I got the latest Cura version and now am a little baffled. I thought I had seen Cura producing GCode for the print of multiple objects all printed at the same time. I tried this for myself and it seems as if that would not work anymore. Whenever I load multiple STL's in Cura every object gets sliced separately. This results in problems while printing since the print head will bump into finished parts on its way. I can't find an option to correct that and it seems to be a bug since I can't find positive points in this kind of procedure. So: am I missing something here or is it an unnecessary feature(which I can't believe, since there should be at least some people who print more than one object at a time) or is it simply not being done yet and I just have to wait? Thanks, Taires
  15. Hi, i am as new as they come to the Ultimaker. I just assambled one and tried to get it working. Now I am stuck with a simple connection problem and can't find a way to fix it. I run cura on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS it starts normally and I run the first run wizard. When I try to update the marlin firmware I hear a sound like one of the motors turning(i don't see any movement) and then the process times out. If i skip the process and get to the checkup I get a connection error with the following error log: Changing monitoring state from 'Offline' to 'Detecting serial port' Serial port list: ['/dev/ttyACM0'] Connecting to: /dev/ttyACM0 Error while connecting to /dev/ttyACM0: 'Timeout' Failed to open serial port (AUTO) Changing monitoring state from 'Detecting serial port' to 'Error: Failed to autodetect...' I allready set the access rights but still get no connection? What else could i try? Thanks in advance, Taires
