  1. Thank you all guys! I contacted Marrit Hoffmans for a new cable, I hope this helps!
  2. Hello again, here is the picture: I hope they help you!
  3. Do I have to disassemble the machine, i.e. do you need a view on the electronic board?
  4. I send you the file. After the fifth try, it came to a complete print, so I think it is not the gcode itself. I had this in the past several times with other files, but not that often like now...
  5. Hi! in the last few days I experience a lot of crazy z-jumps on my UM2. They can happen everywhere when you print the same file multiple times. After a while, the z-axis increases a bit too much and the print is gone... I made a video: have a look at 3:10, the jump occurs at 3:16. I tried reformatting the sd card, change of the sd card.. any ideas why this happens? Thank you so much! Sebastian
  6. Are there plans for adding an on-screen-change-filament-feature? Would be very cool! I have a few difficulties changing the filament by myself on an UM2, and in addition there is always a bit filament left in the noozle which i cannot push out by hand (like move material feature)!
  7. Hallo!
  8. for me the best tip was the machine oil! It was the ultimative tip, since I put a few blobs into the tube before inserting the flexible PLA everything is fine, even printing with 50mm/s...
  9. We had a couple of faberdahserrys filament and are printing with 210°, 0,1mm Layerheight and 50mm/s on an UM2! Very nice results, much better than filament from igo3d or even Ultimaker!

    Ultimaker 2 Nozzle

  15. Yes, same here... printing 0,8mm solid bottom layer in always the same direction with Cura 13.11 and an UM2, making the result a bit unstable, was better before!
  16. Hey! It seems that I have a problem with the endstops, because with OctoPrint it won't let me move left (terminal always says endstop reached), even if I move right some times before. I hope I get any response from UM according this problem, then I will continue testing OctoPrint!
  17. Hey again, I can confirm one of the endstops is broken. I found this out playing around with OctoPrint where I have a terminal receiving the messages of the printer. When moving the head to the left, it always says "endpoint reached". After that I used a multimeter to check the endstop pressed and unpressed - and I got almost the same values (in contrast to the other endstop with clear 1 - 0 values). Thanks for your help!
  18. Yes, that's clear to me. But anyone else trying to run an UM2 with OctoPrint?
  19. Did someone tried OctoPrint with an UM2? I installed it on a raspberry without problems, connecting with 250000 baud rate and state is "operational" but if I try to print something the printer starts immediately in the top left without preheating and prints "in the air", the bed is still at home (on the bottom). In addition, the head moves just from left to right until it reaches the right border of the frame...
  20. Hi all, I want to order a few colors of filament (4). But the webshop tries to put them into 2 packages with 2 x delivery fee? Is this correct?
  21. thanks! The hint with Netfabb worked for me, now I know a bit more where such "problems" can occur and how to solve it. Where Is the "fix horrible" checkbox?
  22. Hey guys, thank you very much. Be sure I read EVERY of your answers. The reason why I didn't answer is that the colleaque who printed is ill and not at work. In the meanwhile I got the printing seetings: - 0,2mm Layer Height - 100 mm/s - 225° Head, 60° Bed. Now I know this is to fast. I tried a few prints after him with lower settings and the slipping is gone. Also I reduced the friction to minimum (but I don't know why this should be "better" to get a highter friction, but it works...). I'm sorry but how do you calculate your printing speed according to the layer thickness? Thank you!!
  23. hi Nicolinux, thanks for your help. indeed we had an error in the STL-File, with this information we redesigned our model a bit and now it works! Best Sebastian
  24. Hey there, I have a problem in Cura 13.10. I want to print my STL model, when importing into Cura it looks great. If I now choose to Layer View, it does strange things... Already tried different STL and OBJ Exporter (I use Sketchup for designing), but nothing helps. Any Ideas?
