I have been looking for replacements for the 2 cooling fans. I looked in Digikey and eBay. There are several but how do you tell if they are controllable by the software? Has any one found a good replacement?

Rustyw Did you use the Ultimakers feeder or a different one to do 1.75?

I guess if a retro fit is not possible for a U2 then can we expect a new printer with dual extruders?

I want to change colors of filaments in the middle of a print job. I can not find a post on how to do that. Can some one direct me to a relevant post? I looked at the Multicolor post but those are all separate layers. I don't understand how you can change the filament but not effect the print head location to continue printing. chuck

I saw this article about a unit that is extruder independent that combines multiple colored filaments. Has anyone seen one? Does anyone know the difference between XT and PET+ from Made Solid? They seem very simular

RetractWhileCombing I found the current version of this at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Dim3nsioneer/Cura-Plugins/master/RetractCombing.py I saved it but it keeps showing up as a text file ending in py and when I put it in the plugin folder Cura does not see it. What am I doing wrong. I could not find a former discussion that covered this. Chuck

"You will need to alter the Feeder Case to be usable with the filament path changed by 0.5mm, due to the new effective Diameter of 7mm. Also due to that you will need to change the new filament diameter to 2.68 to work with the new effective diameter aswell as set Retraction Speed and length bigger. Everything in a Ratio of 1.14:1" I'm new to printing what do you mean ratio changes 1.14:1 for retraction speed and length

Will V6 bolt directly on to Ultimaker2?

I'm still waiting for my Ultimaker2 . I ordered an E3D but now they are asking for what kind of mounting plate do you want. What do you use on this printer? Chuck
