  1. Hi Guys Yep just loosened off the grub screw slid the pulley along the rod and nipped it up again, about a minutes job. Now back to printing... P.S. i did not tighten the heck out of it but a nice firm grip
  2. I am also wanting to use this after seeing it at the London print show at the weekend, I spoke to sander at the show to get his views on using it with a ultimaker 2 and the .4 nozzle whether he thought it would clog. He had just setup one of the UM2's and was printing with it and it looked ok, i did not stick around to see the print finish.. Perhaps when sanders comes back he can update us on the results....
  3. Thanks Guys I am new to 3d printers so did not want to mess with it until i got some advice... I just assumed there was a locator on the rod for the grub screw to stop this exact thing.. When i get in tomorrow i will loosen off the grub screw and move the pulley along the shaft and hopefully i will be back in action again..
  4. Hi Daid On the rear rod there is about 2/3mm play left to right but putting some oil on it seems to have stopped the movement.. The front rod as shown in the pic is sticking out about 4.3mm.. there is a black spacer next to the silver cog on that side... When i push the rod back in and look directly down on the machine the belt does not look straight from back to front of the machine, it looks straight when the rod is poking out. its as if the cog needs to be moved along the rod further. i assume this can not be done as the rod must have a locator for the grub screw.... Here is a picture of the end of the rod when pushed back into position...
  5. It seems the rod just pushed back in, then on the next print it came back out again and the rear rod was knocking left and right during the print... What i did was push it back in and added a little cooking oil to the front and rear rods this seems to have stopped the rear rod moving left and right (knocking stopped) But it has not stopped the front rod from protruding out of the case still...
  6. Hi Guys Just noticed that the rod that runs along the front top of my ultimaker 2 is starting to poke out the side of the case, see pic below... This is causing the rear rod to slide left to right during print... Has something broke for the rod to poke out like this ? what do i need to do to get it back in and stop it from happening ? Rod poking out of case
  7. Now someone wants to listen... Dont worry about it getting lost i am shipping it back to your uk distribitor for them to deal with prehaps they will get a better response from ultimaker through there channels. Ticket: MFG-882-45889 Nachokaos Correct i did, but you would expect the manufature to support there product through the correct channels of there support system....
  8. sandervG I have had a ticket in for my new ultimaker 2 with the 3rd fan not working since last friday and no one has responded, i have also posted in this forum for adive and no one from ultimaker has responded ? I also have the 280C error for ABS Support for me has been non exsistant on a £2000 machine !!!!!!! I have also now boxed up my ultimaker 2 and have UPS picking it up today...
  9. Hi Guys Sent a support ticket in last Friday but no reply as yet, bit concerning after spending just short of £2000. My 3rd fan on the back of the print head is not working since i got my ultimaker 2 being new to 3d printing i am looking for some guidance on how to diagnose the issue and fix it, and also what it means if i print without this fan working will it break the machine etc. I have cheeked the cables under the black covering by the print head all fans are plugged in and all wires are attached to the plugs, i have slightly pulled the 2 wires to make sure the other end of the wires are attached to the fan and all seems good... Now i am stuck as to what to do next as support are not replying to support tickets. Print head Blue & Pink rear fan wires Wires location on board
  10. Wow Naz that is some machine they have shipped you.. Have you had a reply to any support tickets you put in ? Mine arrived with the glass plate not in place, and my third fan is not working, I have put a support ticket in regarding the 3rd fan but no response.... I have checked the plugs and wires by the print head and all seem ok, being new to 3d printers i was looking for ultimaker to support me further in trouble shooting the issue
  11. Hi Gr5 Yeh the third fan, i have yet to see it move, i am just coming to the end of a 5 hour print so will have a look at the cables then.. i am running at 210C... when i have the temp up on the display it never goes above that temp really drops to 209C and peaks at 211C Have done about 15 hours of print over the last 2 days and no issues with them so far.... Prehaps your right it only kicks in at temps higher than what i am using...
  12. Hi Guys I have my 2 side fans working ok, never noticed the one at the back, i understand from this thread that it is independent from the side fans but i have just been watching my print fo half an hour now and it has not kicked in once. is this correct or should i be seeing it kick in ? the print has been going for 4 hours now...
  13. Hi Guys My first time with a 3d printer so please be patient with me... I have setup my umtimaker 2, had a few bad prints but i now have it set up good, apart from one issue where it is extruding filliment to early. I am using the pre installed files on the sd card.. I select the job and the machine waits while it heats up, once this is done and it all fires into action the exruder starts extruding as soon as the heat bed starts to move up, so once the bed is at its right level and the print head gets in postiion i have already extruded filiment and end upp with a striningy mess before print.. but the actuall print is spot on... Why is it extruding before heat bed is in place and print head is in posttion ?
