  1. Hi Guys My MK8 arrived today, so to set it up properly i need to go into machine settings and change where it says E-Steps per 1mm filament from 0 to 1.06383 ?
  2. Troy I ordered mine 3 days ago and it arrived this morning, yep all 1500 grams of 1.75mm, now got to wait until next week for them to fix their error and deliver the correct 2.85mm that i ordered.. was so looking forward to a weekend with Bronzfill :( Edit: have to say colorfabbs has been very quick to fix this error as i have just received tracking number for replacement Bronzfill
  3. I used colorfabbs pale gold PLA 235 degrees, flow was 100% using original spring, not near printer at the moment so cant measure compression.... Should get my Bronze tomorrow...
  4. Hi Arjan I managed to print with ninja flex, it did pop out the feeder on my first attempt, but i managed to print ok after that, did a couple of robots, when i have time i need to do a bigger print to put it thorough its paces. Also i have added my 15mm/s test that went fine also....
  5. Hopefully tomorrow i will get a chance to test the ninja will defo update you, my bronze is on a plane to the UK tonight so should have mine Friday fingers crossed
  6. Hi Robert You did increase the travel of the Yoke at my request page 21 of this thread... you also adjusted the guide for me to fit it also on page 22 of this thread.... I am also testing UltiArjan feeder a page back and it is working well, but i did have to increase the travel on the yoke for that too by 2mm, next is to test some ninja with it.....
  7. Hi Shurik I have printed the bunny and some others ok for my wife on my UM2, the only difference is i am using iroberts feeder but that should not make any difference. I get no grinding of the filament. Settings i am using are as follows. Temp: 205 degrees Bed: 60 degress speed: 40 Retraction: standard setting in Cura Faberdashery filament
  8. Hi David I do a lot of testing of different filaments for them, have a look in there guide under UM2 you will see some of my prints, they are only down the road to me.. There PLA is 3mm diameter not 2.85 and it comes from china, it works ok through the bowden tube but i just don't like the material very brittle but OK for unimportant prints, so i only use faberdashery/colorfabbs for PLA. I have tested all of there branded name filament like the PET+ Ninja flex, biofilla, bridge nylon, laybrick etc If you want a direct contact email address PM me and i will give you one and you can email them direct with any questions...
  9. Hi Didier I have a loads of faberdashery filament i think there is only a few colors i don't have or haven't had, but i do have all four colors you have received, I normally use a temp of 220 and a bed temp of 60 at layer heights of .1 and i would normally raise the temp to around 225 to 230 if using layers of 0.15 - 0.2 My bed always has some glue stick on it at all times i just give it a wipe with a damp cloth every print then after a few days of use i normally add some fresh stuff, my glass never gets washed just wiped with a damp cloth so there is always some residue of glue on it...
  10. OK guys here goes be nice.... Just to let you guys know i do not have an artistic bone in my body, i can not draw to save my life. but after seeing some of the Zbrush designs here i thought i need to give it a go and see what happens.. I watched a couple of you tube videos then spent the last couple of evenings sculpting my first sculpt with my very limited knowledge of using the software... So here are the results and it's all mine how satisfying... Zbrush design Printed results.
  11. not cheap either 49 euros for half a spool and 79 euros for a full spool.....
  12. Got my biofila samples through so thought i would test the Silk first as we have a Linen thread already. The print is very very smooth and you can not see the layers but it does not look nothing like the shiny surface as per the photo on there http://www.two-bears.eu/Startseite_E/products/biofila_silk.html only real difference in there settings was they used layers of .25 not sure if this would make that much difference but will try latter to see. Temp: 175 Speed: 40 Layer: 1.5 Retraction on Bed Temp: 60
  13. Hi Didier Not to sure of the brand will check when i get in but i think it is a cheap china filament.. I stumbled across a company local to me selling filament, so i asked some questions about them and they offed to send some samples belongs i posted the results to there website, they was so impressed with what i did, that they send me samples of all the new filament they get in....
  14. I just used off the shelf Ronseal wood stain and applied with a brush nothing more than that :-) Yes it is with the fine woodfill and i did not use colorfabb profile as i wanted a much smoother finish, so i used a layer of 0.2 temp 197 speed 50 and with retractions on, hope that helps. so far no clogs...
  15. No, I just used normal settings to print as if it was normal PLA...
  16. Yes it is reversible when you bring it back indoors it changes back to original color.. As soon as the sun light hits, it takes a matter of seconds to turn and as soon as you bring it back indoors its a matter of seconds to change back... Must admit the results are not as instant if it is not sunny but over cast it does take about 30 seconds to change and not as bright...
  17. Hi guys I have been sent sent some UV reactive filament to test i will post the various results here... White to purple Indoors Outdoors
  18. Had a play with woodfill and some stains...
  19. I will have my biofila Linen and also biofila silk on Tuesday  from my UK supplier for testing.....
  20. Hi Conz Wow i forgot about your post, i remember now how impressed i was that you had used wood stain and how it looked
  21. My first attempt using colorfabb woodfill and i am impressed with the smooth surface finish.. does anyone know if this material can be stained and varnished ? 0.2 layers at 197 degrees
  22. stevegt i had no luck with laywood samples i was given on my um2 even with layer heights of 0.3, so i am waiting for my colourfabbs wood filament to turn up now...
  23. Robert i love it, wished i could throw stuff like that together
  24. Hi Skint Yeh the grip was a lot thicker so was much more stable, I am only really testing the limits of the ninja flex to see whats possible and not... If you drop me a PM with your address i will post you a sample to test when i get some time, sure Daniel wont mind belongs you post your results here. I am currently testing some UV PLA on the printer as i type. i have a UK company sending me so many free samples of new types of martial i cant keep up LOL
  25. @skint i only bought a cheap kit to see if i like it, or to see how hard it is to do before buying anything of real quality..http://www.kmsdirect.co.uk/magento/index.php/frontpageproducts/kms-airbrush-kit-as186-as-186-with-compressor-with-tank-with-2-x-double-action-airbrushes-and-hose yes the T-rex is of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:308335
