  1. I'm really new at this and take what I say with a grain of salt. I had a lot of problems with the blue tape not sticking the part to the bed. The tape would come off or the part would come off the tape. I started printing on glass with Elmer's washable school glue stick desappearing purple on the glass. No tape. Parts stick great! I now have a bunch of blue tape waiting for a painting job around the house.
  2. That is a great idea gr5. I think I will start doing that more often.
  3. I just had this problem again with the LCD screen messing up. This time it didn't stop printing. It did mess up the print by shifting it by a little. I know what caused it now. I used a metal flashlight to help me see my print while printing. The light touched one of the long metal screws on the print head. It must have picked up a little static charge and confused the computer. I'm going to be a lot more careful with touching things when printing. It's really cold and dry today (16'F) outside. Plus I just started printing on glass with glue stick. Could be the glass on top of the lucite table and the belts are building up a charge in the machine just waiting for me to ground it out. Maybe I should add a ground wire to the machine someplace?
  4. I was putting together my ultimaker today and had a problem where the notches in the right and left panels did not line up with the holes in the front panel. I filed some off the notches to get them to fit holes. They were off by at least 2 or 3mm. Hope my machine doesn't have problems too. Really disappointing to get bad wood panels.
