I just installed 14.03 (had 13.12 till now) on an old labtop with windows xp to generate the gcode. it worked fine, but 14.03 is hanging as soon I click in layerview or try to wirte gcode....
time for a new labtop ?

like that the store has not to bother about an unstable currency. (by the way, in long term average it was going up)
the good thing about bitcoin is, there is no middleman. no transaction fees and no chargebacks.

soeben habe ich im ultimakershop neues filament bestellt und mich etwas gewundert, dass es hier in der digitalen avantgarde keine möglichkeit gibt mit bitcoin zu bezahlen. meine verwunderung war noch grösser, dass auch im forum noch keine diskussion darüber eröffnet wurde.
also lasst uns das vorantreiben! ich wäre sehr daran interessiert mit bitcoin zu bezahlen. die vorteile muss ich ja nicht erwähnen.

Liebes Forum,
Mit der neusten Cura-Version 13.12 kommt auch eine neue Firmware für den Ultimaker original. Dieses wollte ich hochladen, per USB doch ich kriege bei ca 50% einen Timeout-Error.
Ich habe das mehrfach versucht, mit Strom an, aus, verschiedenen Baud-Raten....
komischerweise ist nun doch die neue Firmware installiert - trotz Fehler - und scheint soweit auch zu funktionieren.
Muss mir das Sorge bereiten ? - anderst gefragt ist dieses timeout normal oder hats jetzt einfach zufällig trotzdem funktioniert.

hello,
I just updated the newest firmware that comes with Cura 13.12. It's my first firmwareupdate and I'm not quite shure if I'm doing everything right.
the update from cura will always be aborted at about 50% with an timeout-error.
I' tired serval times, tried different baud-rates, always the same.
But somehow the the new firmware was still installed and seems to work fine.
shall I have any concerns or ist this error normal ?

hmmm... cura seems not to be writing any error log or dump-files. python does. there are 4 files prpeared to send to mitcrosoft dr. watson:
appcompat.txt
manifest.txt
pythonw.exe.hdmp (45mb)
pythonw.exe.mdmp
which file would have the answer ?
i'll try first to find some new graphicdriver. somehow I like my old thinkpad, it does its work slow but solid and don't want to throw it into the bin for some new whatever...
