  1. Welcome to the community and congrats on your purchase Great first print!
  2. LOL 0235... 3d printers next to your desk is a nightmare I quit my job months ago. Never gonna earn enough working for stingy companies
  3. Looks a relatively simple model to create though!
  4. "Printing too many objects at once" what a load of BS. So economy of scale goes out of the window with the F1 then Wishing you more luck in future mate, you really have had a lot of grief with that printer so far.
  5. foehnsturm  Your making great progress though with your dual extrusion tests... keep up the good work!
  6. I have to echo above, nozzle seems slightly too far off. Also... what seems to me is that this first layer is printing pretty fast!! Check in Cura that the initial layer speed is more like 20mm/s rather than what looks like 60!
  7. Really weird! Just as a check, have you looked at the model layers properly in Cura? I find it unlikely that anything is wrong with belt tensions etc if you are printing things such as the bear without issue.
  8. Those blobs are quite pronounced! Almost looks like part of the model lol. A nice sharp Stanley Knife!
  9. Donnyfl Bending that left fan back down will probably help quite a bit, as it is the fan closest to the nozzle. It`s only a thin sheet of pressed steel so you can bend it back down with your fingers, give it a little push. Bed at 60 is good, you do not need too much glue, just a very thin layer watered down is fine.
  10. Hi Artpen Have you tried printing with Brim? and also printing two or more at a time?
  11. Esteban, I use the standard nozzle and I have printed probably 50 hours using Bronzefill and I don`t change any settings from standard PLA, so 60 degree bed, 210 temp, 50mm/s typical. I`m assuming that I will have more trouble with the teflon coupler way before I see any degradation to the nozzle head.
  12. If you are referring to Colorfabb then yes I have used numerous rolls of bronze with no problems so far. If one day the nozzle starts to wear... then who cares i`ll buy a new one... but so far so good They are great materials.
  13. yeah the left fan has been bent upwards a little
  14. 100mms is bonkers if your looking for a nice finish, take it down to 50 at most. Those grip marks on your filament are normal.
  15. Crossing fingers neo, glad your getting the hang of things, eventually you will know a lot mitr answers than have questions, we all started somewhere I spent a few hours yesterday sorting out bad blockages and have kind of sorted it, but now have a much noisier printer.,,hmmm
  16. Hey gr5 I should of posted this in my previous link! Cheap and easy to get in the UK. I have bought a few tubes and so far it works quite well. http://rapidseal.co.uk/project/rapidseal-super-glue-high-viscosity/
  17. RapidSeal. Medium viscosity. Works well.
  18. Faberdashery are also offering spooled filaments now too. I have had a few tangled coils lately, but with the pause feature on the UM2 its not as big a problem as it once was.
  19. Welcome Krys I think your right, the UM community is a great resource and really does contribute to the buying decision
  20. Hi Inpurnell I have to agree with the others here, I have tried some cheaper filament (Amazon and Ebay) and even though I managed to get some to print OK, the results were not great! I did also have more blockages issues amongst other stuff so I very soon stopped using it and went back to good old Faberdashery and Colorfabb. I still test the odd filament here or there, but I have long forgotten looking for a sub £20 roll. Where about`s in "Brum" are you?
  21. I would pick a different one... that one has its head missing!!
  22. Hi Neo, that bit of material that extrudes before it reaches the bed is done on purpose, to get the material flowing nicely before the start of a print. Best thing to do is watch the very start of each print and when the material starts to flow just grab it with your fingers and pull the material away from the bed until it reaches the print bed. The ultimaker robot is not the best model to measure a decent print. It can be printed well by changing a few parameters but I wouldnt worry about it too much ( unless you want a nice ultibot ). Post up some pics of other things that fail and we can give you more advice, keep playing though, its a good learning curve. I would love to help and get a free beer... but i`m miles away
