  1. I talked to a guy who after visiting um thought you were restricted to um fillament because of the 2.85 mm...... not a good job... overall there were too little um employees on the stand, and too little of an active approuch of visiters if you ask me....
  2. price increase for color = 28,6% ! to put the 10% discount of this week in perspective :(
  3. you made me curious enough to try it ..... no it does not.... (printed and raw fillament tested both)
  4. ahhh, think you mean the drawings of the dual extruder kit for the UM1 .... don't know where to find them ....
  5. not sure I understand what you mean.... You'll find the drawings (step) of the UM2 here; https://github.com/Ultimaker/Ultimaker2
  7. use bronze fill ..... you'll be polishing the rest off the week
  8. Wil do at test somewhere outdoor ... later ....
  9. You can also do yourself the favour of trying Design Spark Mechanical ... simple, good and free... Download DSM (free simplified version of Space Claim) http://www.rs-online.com/designspark/electronics/eng/page/mechanical How to use Step files in DSM: http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/2772-spaceclaim/?p=53816
  10. Bad news :( Nice print, nice design, bad functionality..... tested it by talking and walking around it, the sound from the back seems just as loud as sound from the front. I'll have a look at external mic's. At least the good thing is I now have a good model of a perfectly fitting "frame" if I want to design one later for mounting an external mic... Maybe as a last try I need to test it out in the open... as the sound is really dampend when you put a finger on the mic holes.... so theoretically it should have some effect...
  11. " i dont think UM would appreciate it if i sell them, because they are practically the same as the original. " I promise I won't tell them
  12. ok, I'll give it another go.... printing right now....
  13. If possible one that will accept a standard nozzle, f.e. the UM1 nozzle ? I would buy one ...
  14. The code is now also on there webpage... Now the question is will they offer the new colored XT material in the webshop before the 7th. There was a picture of colored XT on the site this morning, but now it's gone again.....
  15. here's the advice from colorfabb; http://learn.colorfabb.com/print-bronzefill/#more-501
  16. I could try something like this but it would be very fragile.... think i'll give up on the idea and go look for some "real" external microphones ....
  17. I started out with a version with a clip on "ear", but this took up more space, blocking the top button, so I decided to stick to the fixed setup. Wil try to make a more horn like shape...
  18. Bought tickets online cause it's easy and usually it avoids standing in line .... Do we meet up on saturday evening ? <Deepshots> recommended the "The Market Porter" http://www.markettaverns.co.uk/the_market_porter.html The Market Porter 9 Stoney Street Borough Market London Bridge SE1 9AA who will join ? at what time do we meet ?
  19. while passing a shopwindow today I found the source of the pink unicorn
  20. Hi, made this "ear frame", to better pick up audio only from the front of the GoPro, but it seems to have hardly any effect..... any GoPro expert out there who could tell me why I hardly notice any difference between front and back ? The mic is in the middle of the "ear" part of the frame.....
  21. and if you can't find a needle small enough you can use 1 fibre of a metal rust brush .....
  22. I think I remember reading somewhere the UM2 spring was replaced by a new version (weaker?) somewhere end Q1 this year. Probably not a big deal when you use roberts feeder as you have a lot of freedom for dailing in the correct tension... you could order at UM but you won't have it before you go to London I would just try a local hardwarestore if in a hurry ... took mine out to measure it, most is close exept for the height ... Outside diameter: 7.5mm Inside diameter: 4,7 mm String diameter: 1.3mm Height: 16 mm
  23. calinb, thanks for the trick, very usefull. maybe a stupid question but what do you mean by 0.002" ... is it 0.002 inch ? Is there a relation to the used wall thickness you use? do you need to increase or decrease the cut size and distance based on it? How thick did you make the sollid top/bottom layer?
