  1. With or without the issue I would always advice to use this thing during a change.... allows you to easy pull out filament. Also it happens sometimes that there's a string with blobs of plastic at the end of the filament that gets stuck in the feeder otherwise... https://www.youmagine.com/designs/wedgebot-for-ultimaker2 with regard to the length issue, did you check if your e-steps are off? (should not be the case if you had the original 2+ firmware before you used the tinker firmware but won't hurt to check) check in tinker firmware: Advanced/preferences/motion settings/axis steps per mm E should be 369 if you have a standard + machine.
  2. Yep... like the drag and drop on thingiverse. ... mentioned this one a few times before...
  3. Using reprap gcode on UM2 will not impact your bed leveling......
  4. And to be complete the download link. https://github.com/TinkerGnome/Ultimaker2Marlin/releases
  5. @sandervg any news on an instruction to properly mount the head with the correct pressure? last thing I remember is you had worries on the dimensional accuracy of a 3d printed measuring tool, but maybe if you provide it with the correct dimensions, people can check it before use?
  6. I have the same with collorfabb XT, it's burned, I've never been able to solve it.... If you go to cold on XT the layer adhesion is poor...
  7. seen someone print graphs before, but can't find it back.... but there's plenty to find with google... here's a few samples http://community.wolfram.com/groups/-/m/t/139463 https://sites.google.com/site/townmath/Home/resources/graph-stl http://community.wolfram.com/groups/-/m/t/498745
  8. Ah.. not so bad... I'm willing to forward a few if more people in the Netherlands want one.....
  9. I was thinking of people using there old head and feeder after the + upgrade.....
  10. @foehnsturm does the changer firmware support a +feeder and an old feeder combination already? Or do we need to set e-steps every change?
  11. Just slice it for UMO and manually enter the temperature lines in the gcode is easier imho.
  12. would be nice! to bad you're on the other side of the world.... probably not a good a idea regarding shipping cost
  13. I agree in with @neotko, I like the "official" bed leveling procedure, nothing wrong with it IMHO. Naturally it's ok to adjust the screws manually, but I always like to start with the level procedure. Obviously there are many ways to do it, i've seen people gently tab the underside of the bed iso using a piece of paper.... but I like using plain office paper, it's beter to feel friction with it compared to the glossy "callibration card". I also use the paper method on my shapeoko...
  14. Ah so maybe the original um2+ firmware forces a reset and the tinker does not... that could explain it.
  15. Oh sure. Sorry. Did not mean to be rude. .. questions are obviously ok. I did not mean ultimaker specific I think in general multi extrusion without lifting heads or separate moving heads wil not give you a lot of pleasure... regardless the machine you put the head on...
  16. hmmm now I dont get it anymore, just checked my other printer, with Tinker 16.03.1+ and the full upgrade, it's on 369. My 2th printer also has 16.03.1+ and was on 282 ... (manually doubled it for the old motor). How can the same @tinkergnome versions have different step values? Could it be because I used the original UM2+ firmware before on one printer?
  17. From what I heard they recently found the source of the slow layer view, so I expect it to be fixed in the next release. Any idea @nallath when there will be a release? can you confirm it's fixed?
  18. Availability of spare parts seems to differ from country to country, most re-sellers can get you all you need if you ask them to order for you, some have most parts in stock, also the + parts must be available. I guess the official importers have the best stock (like Trideus, Igo3D, 3Dverkstan) did you ask a UK reseller?
  19. ahhh a secret ...... I like secrets will try to be there ...
  20. I don't really see the point? the original gear (nylon?) is probably more durable.....
  21. Ok, had to use google translate for that... did you get any confirmation from @tinkergnome that the 282 is indeed an error? I hardly used the machine after the upgrade and don't have the time now to do a lot .... Another thing, I saw you used a "orange wig" to compensate for the longer axis of the original feeder motor, it's not needed, just push the small gear further on the motor axis (I have it stick out 10 mm) there is room enough in the feeder housing... (my printed connector plate is 6 mm)
  22. I think there's a wide spread consensus dual extrusion without a lifting system or separate heads does not work..... don't think we need to waste a lot of time discussing a quad head without a lifting system .... apart from that you only have a connection for 2 heaters/extruders on an UM2 so you would need to get very creative on the electronics side...
  23. I've got one on 564 + feeder with the old stepper motor ( so basically the same as @GR5 's )
