  1. Standard GCode that came with the SD Card. I think I even printed it with the Standard 70C bed, 210C nozzle. I've subsequently lowed the bed temp to 60 but I'm seeing similar problems. If I were to slice it myself, what settings should I use. I've pretty well familiarised myself with Cura.
  2. Well, despite avidly hanging out on these boards while my Ultimaker 2 arrived, I have a slight problem ... but I'm not sure what it is (possibly underextrusion?). Problem solving and troubleshooting help would be greatly appreciated. For the most part set up the UM2 was a very easy no hassles thing. Now I'm at the "I want to tweak for the best resolution" part. I'm certainly not complaining but I know the parts I want to print are going to require a decent amount of perfection. So here are pictures of the problem. Essentially overhanging bits such as the ears and underside of the front panel of the UM robot are rather manky looking. Hope it's all pretty clear from the pictures.
  3. I don't know how Cura specifically works, but I would be worried that it would interpret this to mean 1.25 divided by 0.5 = 2.5, rather that two values.
  4. Received it today as predicted. Amazingly no hitches. I'm not sure what would have happened if FedEx hadn't managed to contact me though as they had to pre-clear the order through customs over the weekend. Notably they phoned, and did not seem to have my e-mail address, so make sure there is a contact number with your order! Ordered it Jan 16th. It feels like a solid, well built machine. I am now looking (again) through the manual and all the various instructions posted on these boards. I'll report back on the first prints.
  5. Ultimaker 2. Ordered 16th of January, expected Monday (Florida USA), assuming there are no hitches. I was contacted today by FedEx so they could get the shipment pre-cleared by Customs. As people have noted I had to fill in an importer ID form, but since I was already prepared for that, it all seemed to go very smoothly. So ... what "improvements" (hacks?) should I print out straight away? (I imagine there is a topic/thread on this but pointers would be great! I've already been following the great extruder debate, but I'll probably hold off on that till I know what I'm doing).
