  1. Thanks for the advice, i will give it a try and print two at the same time to see the differences. I have another test object i could try that is less heigh so i could see the results earlier. Mark
  2. Hello All, Just resently upgraded to th Olsson block head with changable nozzle and trying to print smaller prints with the 0.15 mm nozzle. I tried to print a small version 4 cm height of a full body scan. The whole print goes well like legs and arms but with the head the print goes wrong. It seams that at the head it flows to much material in the round going movement so it looks like the person is waring a scarf and beany instead of the shape of a head. Print settings 0.15 mm nozzle, 0,3 mm wall, 0.1 layerheight printspeed 40 mm/ sec. How co i tweak the settings around the head to get a better result. Sorry no photo yet available, can add that later. Hope to hear. Mark Heiden
  3. I don't have the specifications at hand, so i can't say much about them. The one time i could print a little with it i had no problem with sticking it to just a heated bed, no glue what so ever. I think i really need to look into a different feeder to see if that will help I got some grinding lately with othermsterials as well. Again many thanks to all wo read and replied. I will certainly come back to you later when i had time to trie again, first finish some jobs Mark
  4. Thanks guys, i will have a look at alternative feeders and the information you gave me. If i can solve it i'll let it know here. Mark
  5. Hi Didier, Thanks for your reply. I'll have a look through that topic to see if i can find something. I don't like to modify my machine but maybe ihave to. Hopefully Ultimaker will dedign a better feeder themself. Best regards, Mark
  6. Hello All, we are trying to print with MPflex45 from Makerpoint on a Ultimaker2. At the moment we have the problem that we can't feed the material into the printer. When the material is in the feeder or just above the feeder it stops. It looks like the material is to flexible to but inserted. A while ago we could get the material in but the prints were bad but now the material won't feed at all. Anybody has some tricks for this? We have nothing changed on the machine so just the original feeder ond bowden tubes etc. Thanks in advance. Mark Heiden
  7. Hello All, sorry to bring up an old topic again. Phuntec, we are wondering how you put the +2,5 lens in front of the Primesense Carmine 1.09 sensor. We own the Gotcha 3D scanner with the Primesense Carmine 1.09 sensor and use their software. When we put a lens of a reading glasses in front of it we hardly don't see anything with the scanner anymore. You have a link to a website but the page doesn't exist anymore. Do you still have a photo for us? Best regards, Mark
  8. gr5 and others, Thanks for the awnsers, it is clear to me now. Best regards, Mark
  9. Hello gr5, i had a look at the tutorial you mentiond and tried it. The file size reduces enormously from about 81 mb to about 5.5 mb. If i understand correctly the number of polygons is the sam as the number of faces? So if i tell in MEshlab i want to reduce to 120000 faces i should keep the same image quality? Best regrds, Mark
  10. Thanks Diad and gr5, i use Cura 14.03. I will try to reduce the number of polygons and will see how it will go then. I'll you know later how it went. It can take a while because we are not home at the moment. Best regards, Mark
  11. illuminarti, Thank you for your quick reply. I see the model in the Normal view but when i go to Layers View it doesn't show in 0,1 or 0,15mm. It starts calculating for a few seconds but then stops and it doesn't sho the model. It does show with 0,2mm. Can it be because of the file size of the model (about 50 MB)? Best regards, Mark
  12. Hello All, we have a question about the time and material calculation in Cura. We have scanned our head with a 3D scanner and want to print it at the biggest size possible in the Ultimaker2 by using the max volume option. Now we notice that when we want to print it at this big size we can't get a time and material estimate when we use 0,1 mm layer thickness. We get a result with 0,2 mm layer thickness (about 35 hours and 500 grams of material with 20% filling) Can't we print a object this big with 0,1 mm layer thickness? Best regards, Mark
