  1. Hi SandervG, illuminarti and Chris_Uk, Thanks for the welcome. I will be posting more prints soon. Just a pain I can't add images to posts via the iPad. Have to power up PC when I want to add image post. Besides that it's a great community with useful tips. :0)
  2. Dider Kien: Thanks. Those Colorfabb prints look great. The green colour frog is tempting me to buy that colour. Always good to see time lapse prints. LeoDCC: Thanks for testing the plastic types, had a generic plastic sample from iMakr I think it's the same generic one you used but in light blue. It has a nice translucency when held close to a light. It also had a cleaner surface. Cool work on your blog, would be nice to see how your Lunch Time alien would look like printed. Braddock: Nice work on your website. Great Stalker beast print. Thanks for the print settings for creating a hollow model. I used them on the Slithe print.
  3. Hi Skint, I'm in Lowestoft. It's the most easterly point in the UK. Not a very exciting place. But it's next to the sea!
  4. Hi everyone, some really nice prints on here. I'm new to independent 3D printing and thought I would share one of my latest prints. I had a few problems with the Ultimaker 2, like the fans and screws missing from the print rods. Hopefully its ok now. This print is of Slithe from Thundercats. it was printed in Colorfabb Greenish Beige at a height of 14 cm and taking 14 hours. The settings in Cura were 0.1mm layer height, 50mm print speed, 0% fill density and Cura support. All three pieces ( head, stand & buckle) were printed at the same time so I had quite a bit of stringing and a few tiny holes. It was first modelled in 123D Creature and then improved in Zbrush.
  5. Hi everyone, I thought it was about time to get involved after having my Ultimaker 2 for about a month. I have been watching the forums for a while and have enjoyed the work that's been published. I hope to show some of my work soon and I look forward to any help and feedback that you have. Thanks, Adam :0)
