  1. Fire-Creature/Water-Creature

I always like to try and find really beautiful models on Thingiverse that don't have any Makes to them. This one fit the bill! FP-Creator posted the model over a year ago, but it didn't have any makes when I found it last week, so I resolved to fix that.
Edit: I printed 2, one in space marine and 1 in Mercury red. And illuminarti designed a custom stand for them which I printed in gold PLA.
The print took 21 hours with .1 layer height, printed at 100% of the file size.
A video of the print from every angle is on Facebook here:

  2. Skull Tea Light Holder

I was putting together a get well package for someone who had requested a skull print--this one seemed perfect for them. Printed in Faberdashery Mercury Red.

  3. USS Voyager on UM3X

I printed this USS starship Voyager model at nearly maximum Z-height on a UM3X, with dissolvable supports. The picture doesn't show the scale well, but it's about as long as my forearm. I'll ad some close up shots soon; the level of detail in the model really impressed me.

  4. UM3 Christmas Ornament, designed by Imaginables

I printed this for our Christmas tree at the office this week and am pleased with the result. The design is from Imaginables and is posted over at YouMagine. I used the default normal profile in Cura, except for the layer height; I increased it from .1 to .15 to take the print time down a little. Printed in Faberdashery PLA and Ultimaker PVA.
It printed seamlessly; the hardest part was being patient while the PVA dissolved.
I did scale this down to 90% of the original file size, and print it with .15mm layer heights instead of .1mm, to get the print finished a little sooner before the holidays.

  5. Escher in Real Life

I was looking for something I could only print on a UM3 and I think I found it. I originally saw this file on Thingiverse and saw that no one had printed it, and hunted it back to it's source, here: http://www.cs.technion.ac.il/~gershon/EscherForReal/
I'm overall pretty impressed with how this came out. The totally flat overhangs came out beautiful with 100% interface on the PVA:

  7. Sea Horse

I was really excited about this print because it's fairly delicate with no flat surfaces. It printed upside down in a nest of PVA.
