  1. Yeah after checking again with the person its made of some really hard and slippery plastic. The feeling is the same In that case it may just have been molded.
  2. Bon ça fait un bail! Salut à tous. J'était dans l'ombre depuis un bout de temps... Désolé pour les silences mais maintenant ça devrait être bon . Vive les emails notifications!!!
  3. Hello, I'm prototyping a piece for a client and the original piece is made of teflon very similar to the white insulator we use in the UM2. The goal would be to get the same material for the final piece. Any one know where it can be made?. The piece is mainly cylindrical and about 3 inches wide by 6 inches tall. Ideally we are looking for a source from Canada or USA but its not a must.
  4. 3DLac aussi fait bien le travail pour PLA et XT.
  5. I'll buy it if I can verify the serial with Ultimaker. PM me if your interested. I'm in Canada, Est coast.
  6. if you look at the dimensions in netfabb before slicing the part can you validate that they make sense in mm? your part might be so big that Cura scaled it down when importing. I believe I've seen that before.
  7. It might although it specify 3 wires (unlike what the picture shows)
  8. email notifications are back so we will spot them more quickly
  9. It was there in 15.02 and before. In the preference you could set the weight of filament and it would show you the mass in gram next to the filament length. Default was 1.2 in previous cura version like mentioned by Gr5. For the full length of a spool it depends on your filament diameter and the type of filament you use. Some are 1.2g/cm3 others 1.3 and some go up to 3.9 (bronze fill). If you use 2.85mm filament then there is 6.38 cm3 per meter of filament.
  10. True. Another way to solve this, at least on my printers, was to start using the Olsson block and good isolation of the nozzle (against fan air flow) its all smooth now.
  11. Do you have any pictures of what you call mushrooming? Your nozzle may be partially clogged, the insulator could be deformed, the feeder could be filled with grindded filament.
  12. Hi Marty, I did change my fans for 40mm ones used on RepRap printers. Both need to be exactly the same make and model and need to support pwm. The fact that the board is controlling it doesn't make it less needed to be supported by the fans as it changes the way current is used. (50% speed is not a constant 6V but 12V half of the time). I did have to try a few different makes to find a working pair and unfortunately cannot tell you what they are (they were in a mixed box and dont have clear labels). The good news is that you can order them online at fbrc8 if your in North America http://fbrc8.com/collections/ultimaker-2-spare-parts/products/model-cooling-fan-12vdc-0-1-a-x2
  13. I'm pretty sure it wont work. I'll be looking into it in the coming week
  14. After much wait, I'm about to finally jump in with a new UM2 mostly for that. The question is: Where do I get the list of things I need to get started in this 44 pages thread?
  15. Might be a minor thing but there is more swing on the front of the build plate so having the head use the front of the printer seems like a better idea than the back. Again that is a minor thing.
  16. How about having some ramp upward or at an angle sideways on the ducking? I have no clue if that would actually work. We could have a custom cut of glass that doesn't go all the way in front. You leave the front clip open and make side clips.
  17. Wow great work! Cant wait to get a 3rd UM and put it together... Z offset per nozzle could be done in a plugin. Just watch for T1 changes and insert G92 Z0.01 if you want a 0.01 offset. Then on the next T0 insert a G92 Z0.0 and your back to default height. Or at least it should be something similar to this. If you use different nozzle size you'll need to change the slicer if that is not yet supported.
  18. Just add a wipe tower for each nozzle. When you attach that print head you then print the layer of a cylinder and retract. That will also help stabilizing the material temp in there before going to the real piece.
  19. Hi Swordriff Have you seen my last email about the tests I did? PLA/PHA, Carbon fiber PLA or FilaFlex don't work normally. Underextrusion in every case. I hear a lot of tension in the feeder.
  20. Can we at least get the notifications to send emails like it used to do. This way I can be notified of an answer without having to pass on the forum 10 times a day? The notifications in the current context are kind of not so usefull.
