I think you have to level the bed closer to the nozzle and
you can try the Plugin RetractWhileCombing. Activate first and last layer only checkbox. Insert 0.075 or 0.1mm in z hop for retract.
-
-
You are right, bottom layer is the print speed. has nothing to do with travel speed.
Use the Plugin RetractWhileCombing. Activate first and last layer only checkbox. Insert 0.075 or 0.1mm in z hop for retract.
-
-
It needs to make a complete circle. But only 1 circle. What are you talking about - can you post a photo instead of posting gcode?
I would like to print several circles with only one line, one layer..like the skirt.
Should look like this:
But cura prints every circle two times. 1x cw and 1x ccw. I can't find a setting for the circle width, nozzle or shell that cura print the circles only one time.
If you simulate the gcode in GCodeSimulator (GCodeSimulatorV129.jar) you will see the problem.

I like it a lot. Now the outer perimeter has much better surface quality without the little "blobs"
Why you should see the infill lines? Normally the infill only overlap 15% the inner wall.
There is no different whether the infill is done before or after the perimeter. While combing the nozzle will cross the infill.

I think you have nozzle set to .4mm and shell to .8mm. The .8mm tells cura to make 2 passes. Is that what you mean?
no matter what I set , cura moves the circle always 2 times.
somehow I think cura can not only print a simple line. It always needs an inside and outside line. Could that be?

Maybe the printhead can't reach the required speed? So more speed will give no advantage.
(acceleration and deceleration)

Hi,
i have found a new(?) bug in 15.02 RC1. Older versions should have this too.
When i start cura with double clicking a .stl file, i can't use the drop-down menus for support and adhesion.
If i start cura with the icon and load or drag and drop a stl everything is okay.
Maybe Daid could fix this? I hate it to reopen cura only to use the dropdown menus.
Using Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 with 15.02 RC1.
Thank you

I made a programm for easier bed leveling, but i have a similar problem. I would like to print circles consisting of only a single line ( Like the brim )
Is there a possibility that cura goes not every circle 2 times?
That is my bed leveling aid:

thank you

I think there must a difference between the settings.
Maybe you could upload some screenshots for comparison?

What is your "minimal Layer time"? This could have a large effect on printing time.
-
Hi,
afaik this is new in 15.01...
-
Hi,

Noise when starting a new layer
in UltiMaker 3D printers
Posted
Hi,
I think the noise you are talking about comes from the z-axis. You can hold your finger on it to check whether the noise is synchron to the next layer.
