  1. Aah gotcha thank you for responding so quickly! I think the errors i'm seeing in my final print were due to the fact that my print speed was too fast and I wasn't giving enough time for the small layers to cool. I changed my print speed to 30, turned up the minimal layer time to 20, and turned on cool head lift. it worked pretty well there was some weird stringing in some areas but it was pretty easy to remove. Thanks again! Mike
  2. Hey guys! I'm having a curious problem where when i choose raft (to prevent warping of the lower layers so multiple bits can line up) the parts at the topmost point of the gcode are floating off the top. This is reflected in the print as the last piece i printed shows errors where the floating was occurring in Cura. The error doesn't occur while selecting "brim" or "none". Any ideas on how to fix this? I prefer to use Raft to prevent any elephant foot going on. Thanks! Mike
  3. Awesome thank you so much! The firmware update worked for me =)
  4. Hey guys! I'm new here, and I JUST got my ultimaker 2, and i'm really excited to start using it. I assembled it and followed the instructions, but when I went to make my first print, hardly any material was coming out of the nozzle. When I checked the back, I noticed that the material had been grinded down by the knurled cylinder. When loading the material, it drips out of the nozzle I've loaded it twice) so I don't think it's a blockage problem. Is there an easy way to fix this? I've tried three times, and all three times, when the print starts it immediately grinds down the material. Thanks! Mike
