So I take it by this comment that the duet3d boards will drive the heated bed as well as the UMO?!

So I've had a similar problem, now my control board is less useful than a piece of toast to someone who is gluten intolerant. I purchased the said MOSFET pack of 20 smallest amt available, but no good. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should control my bed now that the boards are discontinued.

Since this is likely to be a very common problem, is there a way to specify that a file is in inches during the load or perhaps the preferences? I have 4 other CAM programs that all handle this properly, so it seems like it couldn't be too hard. Autocad Inventor STL files have the same issue, though the Inventor files are off by a scaling of 10 I get the same problem with inventor 2016 version and there is no options dialogue to change scaling in inventor because that is done when you choose your starting file i.e. standard ipt(mm) so you have selected the part file dimensions from the beginning. Therefore its not an inventor problem more on the side of Cura Although I get the same problem with simplify 3d and its much harder to correct the scale in simplify so I would really like to find a permanent solution to this problem. No you are correct when exporting from inventor you have to do this 1. In the save as dialogue drop down menu select save copy as. 2. Chose Save as Type STL Files(*.stl). 3. when you have chosen this option in 2. click the options button in the Save Copy As dialogue box. under Format Binary Radio button select units as millimeter. Click Ok then go ahead and save STL file. Problem solved

You will find that it is due to the Peek being slightly larger than has been calculated for with the other parts, apparently its a common problem mine has it as well as does a work mates, but it causes no problems it just looks a little odd. Its only a problem if you have CDO (That's OCD with the letters in alphabetical order).

Hi, I am using inventor to make my do my modelling and get a similar problem but mine is always out by a factor of 10 so its not that hard to fix just shift 1 decimal place in Cura and all the rest change as well. if you are suffering from a similar problem as they are both Autodesk programs a temporary solution until we get a firm answer is to see whether its out by the same factor each time. if so just change one dimension in Cura and all will change you would have to do this for each bed load of course.

Sorry for this late post I should have made it as soon as I assembled the printer. I did attempt to but had problems loading the images. So here goes try number 3. Are you having a fault with your newly constructed ulti controller? After assembling my controller and attaching it to the printer, the controller would not power up. Having read other forum posts on this issue I swapped the cable sockets on the board (it is stated that this will not damage the machine). However this did not solve the problem the screen finally received power, (blue light) but turning the control dial turned the back light off. The controller buzzer made strange noises and still no text appeared on the screen whether it was back lit or not. The solution. Lay your cables out flat on a desk with the plug facing up. Check the ends of your cables and see which way the locating lugs are facing on the plug. If the locating lugs face each other the cables have been assembled incorrectly. The locating lugs on the cable need to face the same direction as each other not facing away from or towards each other. If your cables are long enough you could try prising the plug apart and refitting it in the correct direction, as both of my cables were too short anyway I went down to my local supplier and bought some new ribbon and connector plugs for $10.00 AUD. Not expensive, just a hassle. May need to check your quality control Ultimaker! Photos to follow.

Well if you can't put a flat pack bookcase together from Ikea this is definitely a project to work your way up too, I would suggest doing some Mechano and Lego builds for warm up exercises. LOL.

Mine too I think Ultimaker should change the cutting of a recess in the assembly to compensate for the peek dimensions rather than changing the PEEK looks bad on assembly but still functional.
