  1. won't have my driving license in time. Maybe an other time.
  2. Hello I saw in the latest patch notes that the Z-line is hidden internally. Is there a possibility to turn this feature off? I often print shapes completely hollow like zarfs. However with this hide zline feature, the inside of the print is imperfect. Is there a way to turn this feature off? And is this a spelling mistake or a am I misunderstanding it.

  4. I use rhino with grasshopper and Tsplines plug ins. I am considering to dive into solidworks, however I don't really know what features solidworks offers over rhino.
  5. Hello! I am making some chesspieces out of different materials. In the picture are mainly stucco pieces but some concrete ones. The stucco pieces are very brittle, I heard that dropping some superglue on the pieces might reinforce them, I might try that plan on making 4 complete sets, concrete, stucco, resin and candle wax. Anyone has some other material suggestions?
  6. I make them stick together with a soldering iron and cut of the excess material at the soldering point. this way you can also do some multicolored prints if you calculate how much meters of filament each part of a specific color needs. Thinking of it , I might try to mix PLA and ABS this way.
  7. Holoy moly. I installed Roberts feeder and I increased my possible printing volume for 4mm^3/s to 24mm^3/s without skippings occuring. I was expecting a slight improvement, but not that much!
  8. what do those abbreviations stand for?
  9. thanks, didn't know! Should have read the manual.
  10. machine> machine settings > gantry height
  11. I have an issue where I have to increase the nozzle temperature from 0 to my desired temperature, regardless of the material setting.
  12. It's the perfect product for the average joe that wants a machine to work almost 100% of the time without tweaking and such. They have 24/7 tech support, which is insane.
  13. There is a setting in the expert settings under infill: you need to make sure solid infill top is checked on. Looks like we typed at the same time
  14. @Arjan Yes, it is fixed for now after I cleaned my nozzle, found out there was a huge clot of black goop as solid as a rock. I wonder how filament even got through the nozzle.
  15. I am using PLA filament bought on ultimakers website. Layerheight is 0.1mm. Decreasing the print temperature and cleaning the nozzle remedied the "peach fuzz" issue for now.
  16. I don't think that is the cause, because this print was made without any traveltime. I think the slight slope en the low layerheight might cause it.
  17. Hello, I have an issue that is not in this guide. I have the formation of very fine strings of PLA, comparable with cat or dog hair on the side of my prints. These strings don't form between two walls, but on the outside of the prints.
  18. Thats too bad! Great effort nonetheless, I might make one out of concrete, terra cota or stucco when my teflon insulator starts to fail, which are if I believe a little less heat conductive.
  19. The first time someone told me about youmagine, I thought he said humagine. And I still think youmagine sounds really similar to humagine.
  20. Sterk!, wat scoorde je voordien op de test?
  21. why don't you print it on it's side? Making sure the convex shape isn't parallel to the glass.
  22. Hello, I am looking for a second ultimaker² nozzle. I want to modify it to a 0.8mm nozzle. However I can't seem to find any spare ultimaker² nozzles for sale. I was wondering if anyone knows where you can easily buy spare parts for the Ultimaker², or atleast spare nozzles. With kind regards, Ignace De Keyser
  23. Thanks for the responses. I didn't do the math  . looks like I will keep it at 40mm/s and/or tweak my temperature. I'll do some research about using a nozzle with more width for spiralized mode.
