HEATED BED IS l NOT WORKING ANY MORE I have a UM original with Prusa heated bed. It worked always perfect After I downloaded Cura 14.9, and new default firmware, My heated bed was not working anymore. Then I build customized firmware with Marrlin Builder. on my Utlticontroller I get the error: Maxtemp Bed. The "H" gives 358 degrees. The only thing I could think of was that maybe my thermistor was broken. I built in a new thermistor but I still get the same error. I made already a lot of posts and had even a "ticket"with Ultimaker, but still no solution for my problem. Is there anyone who has a suggestion?

Beste Nallath, Ik heb opnieuw de hex file van de door mij aangepaste Marlin Builder gedownload en naar de Andruino gestuurd. Alle functies werken behalve mijn heated bed. De Ultimaker controller geeft nu aan Error: "Maxtemp heated bed" en bij de "H' 358 graden." Het enige wat ik nog kon bedenken was dat mischien de thermistor defect was. Ik heb een nieuwe thernistor 100K ingebouwd, maar hetzelfde resultaat. Weer de "Maxtemp heated bed" en bij de "H' 358 graden." Enig idee wat ik nu nog kan doen?:

Mijn motor steppers werken weer normaal. Het nieuwe moederboard was niet compleet. Blijft mijn probleem met mijn heated bed (Prusa) Vóórdat ik cura 14.9 installeerde met de nieuwe firmware, werkte mijn heated bed perfect. Noch met de default firware als met customized firmware (Marlin Builder) wordt mijn heated bed warm. Als ik connect dan krijg ik: error "heated bed is switched off" or the error "hated bed is overheated (temperatuur 357 graden) Op mijn Ulticontroller ziek ik bij de "H " wel mijn ingestelde bed temperatuur, maar de actuele temperatuur blijft 0. Ik heb een foto gemaakt van mijn elektronica maar krijg het niet voor elkaar om de foto in dit bericht te krijgen. Bij het verwisselen van het moederboard heb ik alle connecties hetzelfde gepositioneerd. Nu zit er linksboven op het moederboard wel een connector die er op het oudere moederboard niet op zat. Boven die connector staat "heater" zou ik bij dit moederboard daar mijn thermostaat van het heated bed aan moeten verbinden? Kan iemand mij helpen ?

Ik heb het zelfde probleem. Bij mij warmt alleen de extruder op. Niet mijn heated bed en er zelfs geen beweging van de extruder mogelijk. After that, Ultimaker support concluded that my Motherboard should be defect. So I build in the new motherboard I had to buy. No results. Only the extruder could be heated, but my heated bed, nor the movement of the axes worked. I also installed the Ulti controller. Than I got the suggestion to build custom Marlin firmware, which I did. I made a dozen different configurations. Again no results. So I am also desperate and still can not work with my Ultimaker original. I lost already a fow orders fore building prototypes. Is there than nobody who is able to give the right solution ? Ik correspondeer via E-mail met Marrit Hoffmans, maar we zijn er nog niet uit. Om hopeloos van te worden. Voor dit probleem moet toch een kant en klare oplossing zijn ?

Problem is solved !!! I think it had something to do with my laptop. On My desktop computer I was able to save the file in .HEX extention. Thanks everybody for the replies

I Only can safe as "HTML file" or "all files"

If I right klick, it safes as a html file, if i choose for "ll files" it does the same How can I rename to .hex ?

I build a customized firmwere in Marlin builder. after that I can download a lot of files. If i choose for downloading the hexfile, I only get tekst. but I need the .hex file for downloading the firmware via cura into my ultimaker Original. what do i need to do ??

I build the firmware, but if I download the hex file, I only get it in tekst. When I want to download via cura it is asking for a hex file. How can I download the hexfile as a real .hex file ?

I have the Prusa heated bed with 100k thermistor 4.7k metal film resistor 18v Relay and a 12v PSU 15amp The heated bed worked always well. Is it possible that not only the motherboard was defect but also the andruino ? I am able to download the firmware and my computer recognises the Arduino and says that it is working well.

Dear Daid, I installed the firmwere for the Ultimaker Original

After installing cura 14.9 and downloading the new fermware, it was impossible to connect my ultimaker Original to cura. After i asked for a Ticket with Ultimaker, I got some suggestions. first I had to disconnect the arduino and try to download the firmware again. this worked. Than they suggested that the motherboard was defect. I ordered a new motherboard and in the mean time I installed the controler unit from UM. ThanI installed cura 14.9 and the firmware again. Now I The printer could be connected to Cura. Than I started the printing but, now only the extruder is heating. Not my heated bed and even not the steppen motors are moving. It seams that everything els is dead. I tried the an old version of cura (12.8, which I sometimes still used when newer versions of cura made problems) This version connected but I could not give a print order. Normaly when I connected to that version. I heard a click in the printer and got a lot of information on the screen. Now there is no click and instead of readable information ther is a lot of "chinees" on the screen. So I decided to try to print with the control unit. The same result: Only the extruder is heating. The controllerschreen gives the, in cura determined temperature but the heating do not start. I also cannot move the z,y and x axes. Please help
