what components of a hot end are not metal in a hot end that isnt all metal? are there pros and cons for each?

I'd do the testing myself but my printer wont ship for another week or so.

Hey just wondering the dimensions of the Ultimaker 2 front opening so I can buy some acrilic to make a door for it. the door wont have to round edge at the bottom so I just need highest to lowest dimension. thanks.

Hi I'm just wondering when the order status page will be fixed? after they swapped over to their new system the page still says I have no orders. If I type in ultimaker.com/account though I goes to my old order page saying that my order is still payed and ready but not shipped yet, is this page still accurate after the system change?

so i open up the ultimaker website main page to login and check the status of my printer, and the button isnt there?

Hey what all have you modeled relating to RC stuff? Are you doing the OpenRC or do you happen to own a Traxxis Slash? I've started modeling Slash components to print when my Ultimaker 2 arrives hopefully this week. I've modeled the a-arms,shock towers, RPM rear nylon bumper, and the little plastic cap on the bottom of the springs. I'm actually designing some simple adjustments to the a-arms and shock towers to allow duel shocks on front and rear of the Slash., I intend to print all of this out of nylon, how strong would you say components printed in the bridge nylon compared to off the shelf nylon parts?

so my friend ordered his ultimaker 2 5 days before i ordered mine, he got his 2 and a half weeks after he ordered it (ordered on Nov 18) and I ordered mine 5 days later, but still my account says "ready". is something up? seems really wierd. especially with the supposed 4 - 6 week lead time, seems like my friends was shipped very soon after he ordered it. we started printing on it yesterday and im in a huge frenzy now because ive been up all night modeling RC car parts to print out and im going to go nuts if i dont get mine soon after having access to his!

would a bigger nozzle diameter help with that? 0.5 or 0.8?

just wondering if anyone knows of anyone printing high resolution (100 - 20 microrns) with the 15% mixed carbon fiber filament.

So I bought an ultimaker 2 a few weeks ago and just now found out about dynamism, seems odd that an ultimaker bought from the company who makes it cost me $2860 yet dynamism offers it for $2500 with free shipping. With a lead time of 7 days rather than 4 - 6 weeks. Am I missing something here?

the website says lead time of 4 - 6 weeks yet the email i got after ordering says a lead time of 5 days, which is it?

So going on the description of the taulman nylon bridge filament is it supposed to be the strongest of the 3? they dont really say which one is strongest/weakest.

Hey I'm wondering if anyone knows of a filament that would be strong like nylon that doesn't get too brittle in temperatures around - 10 to - 20 Celsius?

Is 3D printing candle wax a thing? Anyone have any info on it?

Hi I'm just interested to see what the highest resolutions people have been printing successfully with the Ultimaker printers, I know they say that v2 can print 20 microns but what have prints turned out like printed like that? Very interested to hear.
