  1. Maybe, except a Glowfill 2.85. Colorfabb dont sell it anymore :(
  2. If i remember correctly, @Meduza make a mod for UM2 for printing with 1.75 mm filament. Parts of this mod placed here.
  3. Just saw a post, something with the email notifications. On idea nothing hinders to print anything plastic with this nozzle. I tried regular PLА from UM and Colorfabb and Clear XT (old version) and the quality was the same as in a conventional nozzle made from bronze. The only difference is the need for more prolonged heating due to low thermal conductivity. Unfortunately, ABS is also over, so I can't say how it behaves in this case.
  4. Calendar scheduling is necessary, first and foremost, not to forget the most important things. Firstly, because we all have our daily tasks that need to be addressed (family, work, something else), the addition of new objects in the timeline calendar will let you quickly see progress and be reminded of the really important events in the project. Secondly, despite the absence of any deadlines, understanding of time intervals is extremely important psychologically, it helps to use the available time properly, and gives focus to the effort.
  5. Sprint planning, and a clear division of areas of responsibility. By the end of the month easy to understand the degree of effectiveness of each member, and how to divide tasks for the next month. We did not use HipChat and Confluence, Jira only, but they look so that if you have experience with one, the other will not make a problem. I looked at the list of features in Confluence, and I like what I see. Built-in integration with major calendar, built-in wiki (if it is similar to the one that exists in Jira, it's great) and very significant opportunities for planning.
  6. There is a pleasant experience with Jira at the old place of work, it has open code, and, I think, fits this project perfectly. Also, if I remember correctly, Ultimaker also use Jira, which means that deployment and maintenance will not make a big headaches for your system administrators.
  7. It was a great idea. There are several points that arise in the mind at once: the Gira Planning with integration with Google calendar/Outlook? If the project refers to something associated with the UM collection, but uses third-party technology, which unambiguously fall under CNDA, should it be signed by the initiator or all members of a particular group, or will it be some General agreement on the level of the site? What if the project will grow from the framework of the UM, and, potentially, affect third-party printers?
  8. @diettelo About the price thinking it's still early. I want to wait for test results. @SandervG Yes, the main idea was to increase the life of the nozzle. Now looking for a delivery service that will be able for sane money to send the nozzles to those who agreed to test. DHL asks for some absolutely cosmic level of price ;-( And the filament will go exactly three weeks.
  9. Incredible cool! Is it possible to make a full video report of evening, and then add in the update to post? Utrecht, unfortunately, out of my reach now.
  10. As observed for the competitions was incredibly interesting and taught a lot even without direct participation, I will insert my 5 cents: in addition to pleasure from the fact of competition, it must have functional load. What is the meaning of the idea: some problem/task that can theoretically be solved using 3D printing. Set arbitrarily in detail (more is better), and the participants offer their own versions of the implementation. Thus for a fairly large period of the contest (a month or more) it is possible to solve quite complex problems that can improve real life, and thus will be of interest not only fans of 3D printing, and many others. And this is the second (besides fun) is an important part of any competition is to attract attention to the issue.
  11. Hi, folks! Today I got my first nozzles of a high-strength titanium alloy that is compatible with the E3D extruder ( and a Olssons block, apparently). I would like to conduct large-scale tests, but my ordered filament with carbon and copper will come only after three to four weeks. If anyone is interested to participate in the testing, I can send nozzles to several forum users. Nozzle diameter is 0.4 mm, there are options under 2.85 and 1.75 mm filament.
  12. Ivan, sorry dont get this...how do you use it? The idea I saw on one of the Kickstarter projects. In my case the meaning was in the replacement soldering tip for universal holder. In combination with the temperature control it turned out to be the perfect solution.
  13. Self-made infernal device from the solder station and metal parts from an old manicure kit.
  14. @yellowshark How strong the smell of the hair spray when the bed is heated? Should I clean my glass after every print? How easy is it to separate the finished part from the glass?
  15. New functionalities and software? UM CNC? I would love to have bought these...
  16. Hi, folks! The glue that came with the printer is long over, and for more than a year of printing on the UM2 I have tried many different mounting options. The two most successful among them: masking tape and AMOS Super stick, maded in South Korea. After the last, finished part is almost impossible to remove quickly from the glass. It's a nice bonus when you print carbon fiber or nylon, but for PLA, I think, is somewhat redundant. What method do you use? What variant optimal balance between adhesion and ease of removal for PLA?
  17. In the upper node of the outlet visible guide limiter ( which apparently rests on the pipe), but between him and the visible gap axis to the axis about 4 mm, in which, I think, jams may occur.
  18. Not seen is the gear that the knurled wheel is connected to. Hi, iRoberti! Just saw this photo in the thread, and immediately thought that the point: the previous version was hard to use with a flexible filament due to the gaps between the case feeder and the axis of the feed mechanism. It was solved by printing new design (for example, like this: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/um2-feeder-sp3d-version). But in this embodiment, the gaps still remain!!! Do you tested the new feeder with the flex (with and without retraction), and what the results showed?
  19. For a man, not particularly versed in matters of FDM-print comparison is not in favor of the UM2. This, of course, says not in favour of Stratasys, but some piece of the market they will take. And given the fact that such presentations like sales managers while working with state-owned companies and other enterprise. For the average user, price per reel with plastic price of $ 400 this wild idiocy, while for a large company or the state is more important than the promise of support for the rule of "first 3 hours", and the price per reel them a little worried.
  20. Hmm... In that case the idea didn't make sense. Wouldn't it be easier to take the David and had to make two cameras the same distance along the radius of the left and right, thus interpolating the results of arrays of points?
  21. @nallath I.e. do you think that such a drastic increase scanning accuracy is impossible for Kinect? Or the text of news limping on both legs? If there is a link to the original news, please share it
  22. Hi, folks. Just read an interesting news about sharing the Kinect and polarized glass. Sorry, couldn't find the original news in English, but just in case I will post the link here. Text mainly in Russian but with a translator from Google this should not be a problem. If someone has a Kinect and unnecessary glasses with polarization, it would be interesting to check the difference in the results. 8)
  23. Yes, the PT100 as regular spare part anyway. But not yet, so don't get confused and purchase the old one. The clips shouldn't be a problem either Yummy!!!!
