  1. Lol, these topic is really awesome, guys! I think that should just imagine yourself in the place of topicstarter. And then the problem ceases to be funny, at least. Which, of course, does not negate the fun of this thread.
  2. Dunno yet. Just start to prith this beauty <3 Update: estimated time - 53 hours and 33 minutes.
  3. the latest build is 15.09.81? I tried it last night, not a firmware update (issue created on github), and for some unknown reason, slicing, in a half of cases, hangs at 66%.
  4. Well, i print with thickness equal 0.02, and its work fine. If Ollson block is installed with 0.15 mm nozzle, i think, 0.01 is absolutely possible.
  5. @nallath, pls, post here a link to 15.10.
  6. Judging by the discussion on the relevant branch to github, there are several options to make this, and now the developers select the best for implementation. Let's wait for the build 15.10, there have planned something interesting.
  7. And yes, given the angle of this model, it makes sense to print with the highest possible quality (0.01 layer thickness and velocity in the region of 15 mm/sec). Yes, it is a multiple of increases the duration of print, but you can get as close as possible to a predetermined smoothness of the surface.
  8. Colorfabb, Ultimaker, Formfutura, Rec and Taulman is the best choice possible. I tried Chinese plastic, and he was the only one, after which I had to clean the nozzle. As mentioned above, saving a couple of dollars when buying not worth the wasted time and nerves.
  9. Thus, under the current design of the motherboard has limitations, such as the buffer size/lack of multithreading and the absence of an external source of power (battery pack). Theoretically, in the absence of electricity,by the signal of external source (via USB) printer can pause printing, leaving only the heated bed. But can't even imagine the amount of change in the firmware required for this.
  10. Hi, Schweppes! Perhaps you should use the support of the brim instead of the raft. Also, i would've turned model a broad base to the bottom and try to print whithout any support. Using fan shroud replacement by Lanbern, I'm in a similar situation got ideal inclined surface without noticeable flaws.
  11. The usb print plugin is packaged with Cura by default. The new version of cura should be perfectly capable of generating g-code. If not, file bug reports so we can fix it. Where in 15.04 i can enable a usb-printing? I see a folder with plugin, but can't understand how to work with them.
  12. In the area where I live quite often there are cases of sudden cut-off. For a variety of reasons. And Yes, the printer is connected to a source of emergency power. But the problem is that his stock lasts an hour and a half of work. At the time, as printing can last several times longer. In this connection there is the following idea. Create a file on the sd-card, approximately the following format: printer status (0 - print was not started/she has successfully completed, or 1 - printing was in process), the name of the file with g-code, the last known command to the printer from the code. In the process of starting the print file is updated (0 changes to 1, is the file name), in the printing process the commands sent to the printer is written to the file. If there is a power outage, after restarting the printer menu, select print from the last khown condition. After printing the file is reset to default state. Accordingly, there is minimal error in the finished model and the saved nerves/material/time/money. It is feasible to implement, or there are objective limitations because of the nature of the Arduino platform?
  13. Hmm... These adapters are compatible with the UM2? In the absence of native support for printing via usb it would be a good compromise
  14. i.e. it should create the g-code into the stable version of CURA, and upload it via the beta? Is there a plugin for printing via USB in version 15.x.x.?
  15. CURA have a debug mode? What logs and where to send that in the next version feature to work correctly? :-)
  16. Hi, folks! In the current version of CURA has the ability to print directly via usb connection. During several attempts my UM2 was acting a little strange: after pressing the button in the program screen, the unit heads start trying to print at once in the air, without warm-up, the Z axis was not involved. Is the latest firmware update, the latest version of CURA. What could be the problem? Some sort of malfunction in the printer or a direct print module is not yet fully functional?
  17. All this time, do not work email notice, I sincerely believe that there is simply no new updates. That is, for me there was no reason to go to the forum. Letters change the settings the mail notification as turning off the default was not there. Again, not easy to create an application for a mobile phone with a push-up notifications? Read the forum through a mobile version of Chrome, even on the screen of my LG G3 absolutely uncomfortable.
  18. @TheDeugd @SandervG I think you should consider Robert idea ... I think, you absolutely right. Apparently, due the transition to a new site engine was poorly ported / lost accounts database. Becose of this, too many users lost. It is also still not working mailing list. The new design is certainly good on mobile devices, but use it on a PC - not the most comfortable activity in the world.
  19. Hi, Peter! I was faced with a slightly different feature, but the same kind: print time was changed in strange ways. at one point of time the printer screen showed 28 hours to complete, after 15 minutes the value was equal to 18 hours. At the end it showed 1 second until printing is finished exactly 19 minutes and 30 seconds... Also ( but it is a subjective impression) route print head is laid not in an optimal way. Because of this, in the printing process without the use of retraction on the outer edge of the object, artifacts can appear in the intersection of the route of movement of the print head
  20. Strange... Although life on my UM2 is not so great, the only problem with the extruder, I have encountered is the need to bite off the thread end cutting pliers due to the fact that it is possible to jam the threads right in front of the print head. And Yes, the printer from the shipping date is not turned off for days. Now there is a 32 hour print products, and in addition to the time spent on checking the laying of the first 10 layers, I generally don't spend my time on it. If we talk about the UM2, a stylish set of interchangeable nozzles (as usual for PLA or ABS, and a variety of exotics like Woodfill or filament with containing metal/carbon fiber) I would have bought it without hesitation.
  21. Thanks, Izzy! I Your description is just perfect for what I watched with glowfill. Printing of Roberts feeder is started, i hope this will be enough to solve the problem. Thanks again!
  22. Hi, folks! After two weeks of trying to get a good result I decided to create this topic in the forum. The crux of the problem: due to the lower density of the filament when printing with retraction feedre start to grind filament, and because of this, the filament is absolutely not moving forward. Is there a solution for original feeder, or necessary to replace the modified one?
  23. Hmm... to radically change the design UM2 not make sense. If I understand correctly the cause of the problem, the full multi-nozzle printing is only possible when changing the type of material used, which leads to changes in the feed mechanism and, accordingly, in the code, which will have little to do with the code UM2. In essence, it is a new model of printer ))
  24. We presume that there is. Durable materials are, but they have their drawbacks. ABS-toxic, and the filament with carbon requires a nozzle of stainless steel. Printers, giving the desired result out of the box requires completely different money... It's SLS-print and, for example, for my region it will cost 700 thousand euros, which is currently hardly feasible.
  25. This means that you should be prepared for the fact that a good result is when using two nozzles only in 50% of cases?
