  1. Hello thanks for replying i figured it out and the print edge is very close to its limits when the head comes around to do that corner the fan scraps the side of the wall. lucky its only a prototype so not much of an issue however i'm sure its not meant to touch the sides so any ideas what could be causing this to happen?
  2. Hello guys, I am Stuck trying to figure out why my print is coming out slightly wrong. its a symmetrical shape however one corner comes out "squashed" Please see images i was wondering is it the software thats caused that or is there a problem somewhere with my printer maybe one of the belts? Many thanks Any help much appreciated Layer: 0.1 Shell: 0.9 Print speed: 40 Nozzle size: 0.3 {only way i could get small detail to show} Temperature: 205 Material White PLA
  3. Hello people, we have a 3d printer at work which is a cubex trio. they recently printed off a scaled down version of a grill. I asked for the STL file so that I may try and print with my ultimaker 2 as a comparison. As you can see from the photos it produced it completely wrong and when using layers option in cura I changed a few setting yet still it keeps doing the same any ideas as to why this is happening please? There should be gaps in-between the grills for some reason it fills them? The larger print out is from the cubex trio the smaller one is my ultimaker. ill upload screen shots of my settings however they are all normal except layer height is 0.2 and speed is 35 using infofill white pla at 220 degrees Thanks for your time
  4. Hello everyone! Got myself an Ultimaker 2 previously had a Wanhao Duplicator 4x Been printing for some time now with the Ultimaker 2 going good but would like some advise to make it better. Going to post some pictures up if i can of things I've printed and a few issues I've had if anyone could make some suggestions etc. Would be much appreciated I haven't played around with the settings much so I've added pictures of my general settings in Cura My layer height does vary between 0.1-0.2 Speeds i keep at 50 Initial layer thickness i changed to 0.2 because at 0.3 the support kept catching no idea why? Using Infofil PLA white started most prints at 210deg now generally printing at 230 because of the initial layer skipping i get occasionally. If I've got that wrong please tell me? My glass plate has glue stick on it maybe that's causing it to be too close to the nozzle? At the moment I'm printing the extrusion test and well... lets just say it didn't work any ideas whats going wrong? I did metal gear Rex and 0 Infil and it did not close properly any ideas how to fix it? or is the gap just too big?
