hello everyone. i have been using 123design to make my parts and stuff since i got my 3dprinter a couple of years ago. but now 123design is shutting down :( soo i need a new program to make all my stuff in i never got used to or manage to understand CAD softwares thats why i used 123design. It was easy to use and very fast to learn with no help soo does anyone know of similar program to 123 design thats fast and easy to use and learn and not have to be on youtube all day to try to understand how to make a simple box. have tried 360fusion but find it hard to use and not very intuitiv for me personaly have also tried tinkercad but i was missing alot of the stuff from 123design

So i just make the firmware and download and install on my printer Do i need to add the g code commands then? In that case how do i add the g code commands?

hello. i just got my 24v led strip for my ultimaker and need some help to understand how to edit the g code to turn the leds on and off is this possible to do in cura at the start /end g code tab? or is there some magic stuff that need to happen? it would be awsome if ultimaker could add a function to the ulticontroller so its easy to add and adjust led lights but that may be a longshot?

have anyone tried to use the lcd display from a ultimaker 2 on a ultimaker original plus? i would think it would work as the motherboard is the same or am i wrong? does the ultimaker original plus and ultimaker 2 use the same steppermotors? just ordered a led light kit on aliExpress for the ultimaker 2 that i am planing on using on my ultimaker original plus but i know i need to do som firmware changes soo is there a easy guide / tutorial on how to change the firmware to make the lights work? hope i didn't brake any rules since i posted a couple of questions in the same post

thanks for the response okey i will wait until the um2 plus upgrade comes out i really like the fan shrouds on the ultimaker 2 and it seems like there is a lot more fan shrouds for the ultimaker 2

thx for answering i don't know either ah i have never needed to change the nozzle on my machine yet so i really didnt know that have run my machine about 50 houres and never one clog so think i have been lucky soo far any links to where i can buy diffrent size nozzles for the UMO+ and hardened nozzles?

now that i have started to get god with my 3dprinter i would like to experiment with nozzle size and was wondering if anyone have tried to mount a olson block on a ultimaker original? i know i can switch to the printerhead but i wanted to keep it as stock as possible as i like the design and don't want to mess with firmware if i have to do that to fit a e3d hotend on my umoplus was hoping someone have found a way to mount a olson block to the ultimaker original? as i like that the olson block is so simple

anyone compared colorfabb xt clear vs colorfabb ngen clear? i need to order more filament and wondering to switch out my colorfabb pla/pha to colorfabb ngen any advice regarding to change to ngen instead of pla/pha how is ngen to print indoors vs pla/pha from colorfabb P

i am looking for a z stage switch adjuster and i found this on thingiverse and printed it and started to assemble it and realize that the holes for the z stage switch is not on the same place as the ultimaker original soo it dosent fit :( soo any one that can modify it soo it would fit the original plus? i am not so good yet at modifying stuff :S or know of any other z stage adjuster that don't require you to screw or drill holes in the cabinet? how tight should the belts be on umo plus? i feel mine are too loose so i am looking for some belt tension clips have tried a couple but they all touch the wood carriage soo any tips there would be awsome

thanks to all of you and sorry for late reply. have been sick and moving :S i have tried cleaning and greasing the z rod but the problem is still there :( i have even tried printing diffrent stuff to but problem is there anyway :( starting to loose my mind over this :S any other ideas i can try to get ride of this problem?

thank you all for answering me and sorry for soo late respons :( been sick and moving :S now that the printer is up and running again i am having problem that prints on the side the fan dont blow on gets messed up and kind of leaks out :( so if any have a link to a fan shroud that is good and tried or a dual fan shroud plz tell me and i will check out the h3 extruder

hello. i have a UMO plus and have started to noticing layer shifts if i can call it that and was hope someone here could help or guide me to how to make those go away the shifts arent in the stl so it is the printer that makes them the 2 first picture are really showing the step or layer shift. but third picture is a bit harder but it is there :( soo if any one have any idea what is causing this let me know

hello while i am waiting for the correct steppermotors for my umo plus i have been reading up on diffrent problems and challenges. soo i am looking for good fan shrouds for the umo plus and is there a good alternativ feeder for umo plus? something like IRobertI's feeder for the umo plus? just love the that it is soo simple and user friendly vs original feeder for the umo plus.

about the black squars on the ulticontroller yeah i fixed that problem:) i started a ticket with support and they sent me a new ulticontroller and that fixed the problem. i havent tried to use the ribbon cable from the new kit on the first ulticontroller so cant confirm if it is the pcb or ribbon cable. and about the motors i am still waiting for replacement

ah yeah maybe they have some problems with a lot of kits then? yeah i can maybe get the pulleys to fasten to the edge of the shaft but i dont feel comfortable doing it cause its soo close to the edge :( but i have now assembled the rest of the printer and the ulticontroller dont work or something is wrong. when i turn the printer on the ulticontroller turns on to but it lights up and there is black squars on the screen where the text should be. have tried to switch the cables but no change :( any idea?

yeh it feels pretty bad knowing i cant get printing any time soon :( and to know there is someting wrong with a kit that cost soo much money! yeah i been waching sander do his magic in the order and delivery section and hope he can do some magic for me. I have sent him a pm so hopefully he answers soon i have been building all the otherstuff i could do and even with the spare parts bag its missing 21 m3 nuts. how is this possible?? yeah i know human error but there is still the markings on the bags to confirm that they have been checked.

i recived my ultimaker original plus kit today and have just started to assemble the x and y stepper motor and now i see that the stepper motor shaft is to short so the set screw almost dont have any thing to grip on:S have i got the wrong parts or is there something wrong with my stepper motors? i have added 2 pictures so that you all can see what i mean

well i have been thinking about ordering a ultimaker for quite a while but was pretty nervus cause of all complaints about diffrent stuff about customer service and with ayden payment system and waiting time.. but the 02.04.15 i order a UMO+ and some spare parts and was thinking okey i wont se all of this money i spent for a month or 2 cause lead time on umo+ is 2 to 4 weeks. but today i got a email saying your order is offered today to our carrier. soo i was think yeah thats only my spare parts but my package is 10,4kg and my spare parts dont weigh 10,4kg so i hope for a easter miracle and that its my complete order my order nr is 1592120 and i would love it if you sandervG would check to see if its my complete order that is shipped? but any ways my experience with ultimaker is positiv soo far and think this could be the beautiful relatioship of me and ultimaker ps sorry for my english.

Okey thx for answer well yeah i have been looking on the advertising for colorfabb xt to to see if its biodegradable but i cant find anything that suggest that or i am blind? i am going to order a umo+ and som spare parts on thursday soo i want to order som filament to soo i am going to order from colorfabb thanks to you guys and think i am going to buy a couple spools of xt to have for the prints that needs a bit higher glass transition temprature and that little extra strenght any tips and hints on stuff to get or spareparts that i might need is higly apreciated Looking forward to get the umo and get started printing

I am saving money to order a ultimaker original plus i am sorry if i posted this in the wrong place. any place that is better to ask? but i think i maybe should order some spare parts to so i dont have to wait if something breaks I know i should buy a couple of nozles. but what other spare parts should i buy? my spareparts list looks like this 1x belts pack 1x bowden tube 1x knurled drive bolt kit v3 1xheater cartridge 1x pt100 b sensor 1x hot end pack 2x hot end isolator coupler 1x hot end isolator tube 2x nozzle 1x peek isolator is there something you guys would buy more of or dont buy?

thanks for quick answers okey so its just a choise about colors and money what is the diffrence between colorfabb PLA/pha and XT? is pla more soft and not as hard as xt or is xt more britle but stronger than pla? and how is it to swap between pla and xt? the only thing i have understand about xt is the higher print temprature and less warping than abs? is pla is biodegradable ? is xt biodegradable? like if i want to make a door sign i wouldnt want it to degrade and is xt better than pla for this? and from what i understand there is a big question of uv stability on some filament? i am really looking forward to just take the plunge and buy me a umo+ but i have to save some more money first :( hehehe well maybe not the best smell if it suddenly starts to smell like weed, hmm wander what my landlord müst think if he suddenly smells weed he is a good friend so i think he would just laugh and say print me a harley davidson sign yeah bronzefill and copperfill looks awsome! woodfill to okey i was wondering about buying some ordinary plastic bins and store the filament in but since i allready have a kitchen vacum sealer i thought it would be a better fit if filament isnt going to be used in a couple of months?? when i dont have opend the filament its okay to store it as it was shipped? but when a spool is opend it can stay out for long? but the best is to seal the filament? okey dust is a bad thing. well my wiffe has a cavalier king charles spaniels that sheeds soo mutch hair soo thats going to be a problem! just hate dog hair everywere!!! in the towels, in my clean clothes, its just freackin everywere! event tho i vacum clean 4 times a week! soo i know your pain about animal hair!! should i clean out the nozzle or do a atomic pull befor shuting down the printer and leaving it for a coulpe off weeks? i dont think il be printing with nylon for a good while but i will remeber that about nylon! why do you like filament loose instead of on a spool?

hello everyone first of i just want to say sorry about my english. i talk alot better than i write i wanted to ask all of you a couple of questions about filaments and storage i am looking to buy a ultimaker original plus and before i spend this money i want to get a couple of things in order first. when i order my ultimaker i also want to order some filament and i am having a hard time choosing what toorder. soo my question is should i buy faberdashery or colorfabb PLA? i have family in the uk that can ship me faberdashery to norway so no problem there. and i thought about buying test packs from faberdashery and colorfabb but should i just drop test packs and buy faberdashery? question 2 faberdashery and colorfabb have PLA/pha that is the most used plastic. but what is colorfabb XT? is it like a hybrid between pla and abs? abs or stuff that smells bad is not a option for me cuse my printer is going to stay in my computer corner in the hallway and i dont want to stink down the whole apartment. and gets my fiance angry :S question 3 storage of filament. i have a vacum kitchen packer and was wondering if that is a good option with som silica gel instead of those vacum bags for vacum cleaners ? and i just want to say i love this community!!! if anyone have a problem understanding says so and i will try to explain better is there a thread somewhere about maintaing and how to store 3dprinter when not in use?
