I'm considering getting a 3D printer and Ultimaker 2 seems like a good choice, but I have a few general concerns.
Is it hard to get good quality prints? I see lots of suggestions about temperature and speed for prints on the forums. Does this come with experience, and how necessary is it to change from the default settings?
How much maintenance is involved? Nothing lasts forever but how often would I have to do custom fixes?
I'm not a designer. I've messed around with Sketchup back when Google was part of the name but I'm no pro. It would basically be an expensive toy to create custom accessories (phones, DSLR, xbox, car mounts, etc), and whatever else looks cool
Is this really okay for home use for someone who's never done this?
I'm two-minded because of the price also. If I do decide to buy, it will be from vendor in the country. Should it be a certain year model? Anything else I should ask them?
