  1. Hello Ultimaker Community, I am very happy with my Ultimaker original, but I'm wondering if I can make it print even better quality. I've attached one image, and am wondering if some upgrades will help with the consistency of the quality in my prints. The print on the left has some artifacts such as lines that are uneven, while the print on the right does not--even though I used the same settings So, my questions: is it possible to upgrade my Ultimaker original to print better? If I buy a Ultimaker 2 heated print bed and double fan, would I be able to retrofit my Original to use those parts (like attached in the screenshot)? Thank you. -Jack
  2. I see. Thank you both for your solutions! Will try those out. -Jack
  3. Hi all, I just started operating a used Ultimaker Original, and I've been running into a few problems that I hoped to get some tips on. First, the first few layers don't always stick and the filament sometimes goes awry and sometimes I need to restart the print. I aligned the print board beforehand, but maybe I don't know the very best way. Sometimes I let it print and it fixes itself, but the bottom of my print might have some squiggly misaligned filaments. Any tips? My nozzle is not the cleanest (it came like that), is that the problem? Is there an easy way to clean it? Image attached. Also, after successfully printing an object, I had run a print of a small shampoo bottle overnight. The next morning it had fallen over halfway and the filament went crazy everywhere (image attached). Any tips for a problem like this? Thanks so much and hope to hear back from you guys soon. -Jack
