  1. Purchase it and will be printing the case. If this works well, I might do the same for the other UMO. Thanks again for the help especially for the very visual and thorough explanation.
  2. So I dont need to change any setting on that link and just download the firmware and apply it? Sounds simple enough. Thanks so much for the info and for the link for the enclosure.
  3. Thanks for the response. Although I was hoping to get something similar to the original LCD's size so I still can use the Ulticontroller's parts/enclosure. But it's also great to know that there's a good alternative that I can use. Just need to design and print a custom enclosure. Thanks also for the firmware link. My UMO pretty much has the stock firmware AFAIK, but just to be safe, how can I find out it's current settings. Kinda new to this and threading very carefully, lest I make a mistake and ruin the board.
  4. The LCD on one of my UMO's Ulticontroller has a lightbleed. http://imgur.com/a/JvzVq Searching for a replacement and found out it's a Displaytech 204A-CC-BC-3LP. Problem is I cannot find any seller that will ship to the US. Any lead where I can buy the LCD or if there is an alternative one that will work. Looking at this one as an alternative. Would it work? https://folgertech.com/products/reprap-ramps1-4-2004-lcd-display-controller-with-adapter-mendel-prusa-3d-printer-1
  5. Thanks for the reply. Will this work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Sets-520cm-JST-XH-2-5-3-Pin-connector-plug-Male-RC-Li-Po-Battery-US-Seller-/172491406332?hash=item282949fbfc:g:rjUAAOSwx2dYHOsC
  6. Planning to add a heatbed on my UMO. The official one's price is a bit steep for my liking. Wondering if a third party upgrade would work. Anyone who did a third party heat bed upgrade have some good recommendations? Is this a good one to get. How's the installation? Plug and play or needs some mods to the board and firmware? http://www.ebay.com/itm/UM1-UM2-Aluminum-Alloy-Heated-Bed-for-Ultimaker-3D-printer-/112080388132?hash=item1a18830024:g:KeYAAOSwtnpXoKRZ
  7. I need to replace just the plug (white plug) on the Thermocouple Temperature Control Board on my UMO as well as other parts. http://imgur.com/a/2Y3XV Are these good and SAFE replacements? http://www.ebay.com/itm/282317086994 http://www.ebay.com/itm/122317311108 http://www.ebay.com/itm/291762331003?var=590777916845
  8. Is this one a "plug and play" upgrade. What else does one need to do to install this heat bed upgrade?
  9. The main unit would be shipped assembled. The accessories like the ulticontroller, buildplate, spool holder, extruder, filament spool etc will be taken off, wrapped and secured for shipping. Shipping would be standard ground, so not sure if delivery is within a week. What is your state and zip code?
  10. Received and tested the first version of the app. Exactly what i needed. Although waiting for the final version of the app after some slight modifications I must say this, Ultrajan's son is very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. If somebody wants an app developed for a certain application, I definitely recommend him. Thanks again Ultrajan.
  11. Thank you very much. In communication with him already and should have a working app soon. Appreciate your time and help on this.
  12. This is related to my next print project, as the housing and implements for this project will be a 3d print. Have a project in mind for the church that I am a member of. The hymn number digital display board that we are using needs to be replaced. Instead of buying a replacement, I'm looking at a different alternative I am looking for an app or someone that can develop a simple app to input and display up to 3-digit big numbers on an android device. The app should allow the user to change the digits individually by scrolling/swiping up or down on the number. For example, the displayed number on the screen is 100, and I want to change it to 214. I would start with the 1, scroll/swipe up to 2, then 0 scroll/swipe up to 1, then 0 scroll/swipe up to 4, to change it to 214. Number should be from 0 to 9, as well as a blank digit/space. Attached below is an image of how the app should work. [/url] The app should allow the number to be displayed fullscreen because I will be connecting the android device to an external monitor, mounted on the wall behind our choir loft for the congregants to see. Option to change the background and text color although the default background can be black and the text is yellow. Asking for help if you know an app or an app developer that can do something like this. Willing to pay a fair price, so let me know how much as well. Reply to me through this thread. Thanks.
  13. Need to get a bigger build volume printer. I've outgrown the build size of the UMO.
  14. Which version of SketchUp are you using? I should have mentioned it, but I was talking about the freeware version Google SketchUp 8.0 (the latest freeware I think?), with which I had bad experiences for 3D-printing. But of course it may have been improved in the professional versions after it was taken over by another company. Google bought it for designing surface-3D-models of buildings, for its Google Map and Earth projects. Watertight 3D-modeling for 3D-printing was not on their priority list back then. I don't know what the focus is of the new owners? Models were done with SU Pro 2016 and earlier versions, exported to stl or dae format and 3d printed using Cura.
  15. Chiming in about Sketchup. Been using it to create 3d models for 3d printing for some years now. Quite happy with the results. I'm also looking into Fusion 360 and Onshape. How does these two compare to SU as far as intuitiveness and user-friendly matters. Here's some works i did with SU and UMO.
  16. Revised listing, added a heat bed upgrade. Uploaded pictures and video of printer in action.
  17. Great to see the UM3's dual extrusion working very well. Please post a print of something that is done with PVA supports.
  18. Cut the model into 13 parts to get the best print bed orientation and minimize overhangs, although minimal supports was still used, particularly in the hands/fist area.
  19. Hi Sander, modelled it using DAZ3d and Zbrush. Head is a rework of this: https://sketchfab.com/models/6c7b7868399c4b7c85d9799823030cc7 And yes this will be painted and accessorized. First of my 1/6th scale SW SITH custom figures. Have Darth Talon and Assaj Ventress in the works already.
