  1. And to the light that turns on when I open the door, no I don't have that. So I'll just check the cable connections and hope that it will resolve the problem. Thanks though!
  2. Thanks for the responses, I'll check that today and keep you posted.
  3. Hello, I am quite new to the 3D printing world and have been using my Ultimaker + for about a month now on a regular basis. I have noticed this past week that when I leave the print to go over night and I close the door, that when I return in the morning and I open the door, the printer stops. At first I thought it was a coincidence but this has happened on 3 different occasions to me now. The room the printer sits in is completely enclosed (no open windows) so I was thinking that maybe it doesn't like pressure fluctuations or is some kind of sensor for this built in? Thanks for the input
  4. So for anyone reading this in the future having a similar problem, it is fixed now. It was some kind of electrical fault in the panel. Got a new one from Ultimaker and now everything works flawlessly.
  5. Hello, I posted the following message under the software section a few days ago, however I did not get any help. Hopefully here I will get more responses. I am new to the 3D print community and have just put together my Ultimaker +, however sadly my prints do not work as I hoped. When I auto home the axis, the x and y components of the head go into the left front corner as supposed to and hit the end switch. After that the plate from the z-axis does the same thing, hits the end switch and is basically set in the right position, ready for printing. However, when I look at my UltiController, the coordinate reading says 0 for x and y, but -49.5 for z. When I hit print, the plate goes down to its relative zero point. This zero point is not 49.5 mm down though, but 141 mm down. Has anyone encountered this problem before? As a side not, if I home all the axis and turn the printer off and back on, then everything is still homed and my readings are actually all 0. With an SD card I can also get a print going then, without the plate going down 141 mm. Hope somebody can help.
  6. Yes the build plate is level and has been calibrated. The homing works perfectly from a mechanical point of view. It's just that it gives me this wrong coordinate in the z direction. Even when I put the plate down manually and I just touch the z end switch with my hand (which should zero it), the controller shows that the plate has a z-component of -40.5. It must be something electronic that's either in the firmware or something else. But when it hits the end switch it then should know that it's in the zero position, and automatically set all coordinates to zero. It has given me a head ache for 3 days now :(
