  1. The versioning is absolutely shot with Cura. I cannot make any sense of what is new or what is old when the software itself says its two different versions? 15.05.04 is the last version of the old software The website tell us to download 15.04. When I load some of my more complex models which need detail I find that it crashes every time until it decides not too. What I mean by this is if I load the model, then it crashes while slicing I close Cura then try again. I repeat this until it finally gets past the slicing stage. The settings are never changed. I change all settings before opening the model because of the silly auto slice feature which has cost me hours and hours closing and re trying.
  2. Some bugs? its riddled as are all versions that i have tried. I have absolutely no idea what is the latest stable version. The download page is 15.04 yes I tried that too. But I have over extrusion issues with that version. Cura doesn't follow traditional version control naming conventions. example I open 15.10 then check the about which says 15.09.90 I dont know which version it is. The version i used most says 15.10 (again) but in the about it says 1.99.0-dev again which version am I running? I have no idea. Anyway I finally got it printing. Some classic traits that I have noticed with Cura... I re enabled it then disabled it and it still didn't work. closed cura, tried again and it still didn't work. Done this a few times including slicing failing a few times. Took about half an hour repeating the same steps and it worked. Damn Cura. So buggy.
  3. Hmmm. Thanks for pointing that out. Unfortunately it didn't do anything. Coasting was indeed enabled. Now its disabled I have exactly the same crazy travel lines that do not print anything, but ooze mess everywhere.
  4. Hi, I am currently printing 3D-printed Watch with Tourbillon - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1249221 I have a very strange amount of travel lines when trying to print the SpringRelaxed.stl - http://www.thingiverse.com/download:1953093 I am using Cura 15.10 (1.99.0-dev) with Windows 7 64bit, I5 proccessor, 32Gig RAM. Please see attached image for the crazy travel lines in red. I have imported the CURA generated gcode into Simplify3D to better illustrate the line for you to see. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Maybe I clicked a setting without realising it?
  5. I did update my video card drivers. I'm confused as to which one is beta or alpha? its at version 10 and still in beta? 15.02 still has erratic behavior... Loading model under build plate gcode button not working model not even loading scale functions mixed up after rotating Z thinks is Y etc calculation phase running constantly; crashing software Always needing to close Cura and go through the painful steps again praying is doent crash
  6. I am trying to use 15.09.90 I already have 3 previous version installed 15.06.03, 15.06.01, 15.02.01. I have only been able to print with 15.02.01 the later two version have problems with the model not using shaders correctly i.e. I can only see a silhouette I am running Windows 7 64 bit, I5 processor, 32 gig Ram. I am spending an awfully long time trying to rotate my object once it has first been imported. The slicing calculation starts as soon as it has been imported. If I start rotating the object whilst it is slicing I get random crashes and hangs with no feedback to whether there is an error. It just hangs at the stage before the percentage slider starts its accent or after that stage. Maybe 66% maybe 95%. The new rotation tool is making this problem a lot bigger than it needs to be. I cannot fathom how you rotate the model when if I move my mouse to the left is only moves 15 degrees then to the right maybe 135 degrees. Then when I move it back to the left it goes to 600 degrees!??? The calculation phase runs as soon as I change anything, which usually ends with a crash. I need a button to start the calculation phase so that I can actually get it into position without crashing. When I import a model it is always laying down so I “always” need to use rotate. Can you not at least follow the same xyz system of popular modelling programs?

  8. Is it actually going to work or end up being a frustration just like all previous releases? I am currently stuck on 15.01.01 Stuck wasting hour after hour importing models only to have the save gcode button not work and the save to sd card button greyed out. I spend hours modeling, reducing size, losing details, compromising my design because the most advanced 3d printing software cant even give me any feedback to why it is not working!
