I had been thinking about the possibility of building off of Microsoft's incomplete 3D Printer driver and slicer code they have published in their developer site. I was curious if anyone else had this idea, and would like to assist/run a project doing this? My idea is as follows: Using the Cura Engine for the heavy lifting, write a Universal Windows Platform Driver, that wraps the engine, and makes printing to printers such as a RepRap possible from within the 3D Builder app in Windows 10. Combine this with a Kinect v2, and you have an easy setup for 3D printing and Scanning. Thoughts?
