What software would you recommend?

I am insanely new at 3D printing, I purchased the Ultimaker 2 Ultimaker 2 go ( I'm a library Director) I am wanting to add text to some prints and make custom bookmarks. That being said, how in the world do I do that?!?! Thanks! Alpha
