I can't argue with the fact that it's a pretty small amount of money, but the tower can only be so big and take so long to print. I guess I'll work on improving my cooling though, that's probably my best bet. Thanks for your input though. I know this forum is centered around the Ultimaker, but are questions about other printers are allowed in sections like The Art of Printing?

I don't see the point of a full on ooze shield (especially with only a single extruder) simply to stop ooze resulting from using the cool head lift option in Cura. Is there any setting for this? Or is there a better alternative to cool head lift?
