  1. Hi Diving Duck, I finally managed to open the file and edit it. So I now have materials. I just got it sorted when I received this from Ultimaker. I have to confess I don't really understand it. I think what they are saying is that with the Ultimaker 2 family of printers you don't need to modify the material profile. Introduce UltiGcode: able to print a model with all materials supported by the Ultimaker2. The gcode would have no material specific properties. Simply select PLA or ABS on the Ultimaker 2, and it will work! As soon as the Ultimaker2+ came, we rea
  2. Hi Diving Duck, I'll have a look and see if I can sort it out. Thanks for your help.
  3. Hi I think that I'm having the same issue. I have just installed Cura 4.5.0 and when I try to access the materials there is only Unknown. If I add a different printer I can access the materials. I have looked for a definitions file but I'm unable to open the only one I could find which was in the resources/definitions folder. Any help would be appreciated. Michael
  4. I have just tried to update my Cura software from 4.4. to .4.4.1. After installing 4.4.1 it wouldn't open, so I reverted back to 4.4 and now that wont open. Can anyone help with this please? ErrorTraceback Traceback (most recent call last): File "X:\4.4-exe\build\inst\lib\python3.5\site-packages\cura\Machines\Models\IntentCategoryModel.py", line 101, in _update File "X:\4.4-exe\build\inst\lib\python3.5\site-packages\cura\Machines\Models\IntentModel.py", line 40, in __init__ File "X:\4.4-exe\build\inst\lib\python3.5\site-packages\cura\Machines\Models\IntentModel.py"
  5. Thanks Smithy, I should have guessed. Just wasted 4 days printing. I have downgraded to 4.1 and all looks good. Thanks again
  6. Hi All, I have been having trouble with a print. I have done many prints and never seen this problem before. When I slice the model with Cura 4.2.1 some of the support material doesn't start printing until layer 7. This means that the support material doesn't form properly. I have tried to modify the model to remove the need for support material but this just moves the problem to another area of the print. I am confident that this is not an issue with the printer but with Cura. I am not having this issue with other prints. Can anyone suggest where I am going wrong.
