  1. Similar to mine after I held the 2nd head out off the way until it was needed to measure distances. Have entered my calibration readings in a previous post which should be a good start Maybe you can try to change to the second head and then set the extruder offset. About S3D, I've tried with it but I had some problems with infill and top layers so I stopped the prints, nice result but it take some time to heat up, and the tool change retraction is not always clean. I post here my wip fff profile for the mark2 https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ll53ssyriua7xa/Mark2_1.0.0.fff?dl=0
  2. Noob question about Cura.. Someone could explain me how can I select a custom profiles for mark 2? I changed some settings from a protected profile, I saved it as a custom but I can not activate it Marco
  3. Check two things: Make sure you got the latest version of the Cura definition files? There was an error with the initial start / prime positions in the first github version. Second, in the firmware check Dual extrusion - > wiping position and set the y value to something like 40 mm. I'm not sure that is the same problem but if it is, it also happened to me, I solved by setting the extruder offset to X {+18} Y {-22} before run the calibration gcode. It worked for me.
  4. Edit_ No, I was wrong, that movement is a G28 at finished print. The printer is running the last gcode and everything goes alright
  5. Yes, I have set the layer start and I activated the plug in I don't know how but now I repeated the slice with the same settings and the travel movements are reduced, there is only one, I think it is start movement after a G28
  6. Hi to all, Yesterday I installed all the different parts of the mark 2. I have to congratulate you for the great work you have done. After setting the various parameters, now I would like to make some tests to verify the extruder offset, but i noticed these movement to the front-left corner Are these movement an error or are they generated from the swap script?
  7. The gcode sliced from cura contains a lot of acceleration/jerk command to get better quality. If you read the gcode you will find a lot of M204/M205 commands.
  8. First of all, you've done impressive work. I've a question about gcode/firmware. Are the tool change movement script, swap retraction managed by the firmware or by the gcode? I read a dual print gcode generated in cura and i see T0/T1, M104/M109 command for the standby-heat up temperature, and a simple retraction (5.1mm@F1500) in relative E distance. I ask you this because I don't have a lot of familiarity with cura and I would like to ask if it is possible to run a simplify3D's gcode, i know there is a possible collision with the 2nd head if the object is in the wrong position. I also noticed that PVA is not present in the list of materials, but this is not a real problem. Thanks, /Marco
  11. I have some info and details. The nozzles are leveled with steel's insulator which is screwed or unscrewed.
Marco
